Milos Ilic Named Patriot League Player of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Milos Ilic scored a career-high 28 points and had his second-straight double-double last week with 11 rebounds in a Loyola University Maryland men's basketball comeback win over VMI, and he was named the Patriot League Player of the Week on Monday.

Ilic was a career-best 12 of 16 from the field against the Keydets and had 16 of his points in the second half to lead the Greyhounds back from down 14 earlier in that period.

His double-double was his third of the season and marked the first time in his four-year career that he has posted 10-plus points and rebounds in back-to-back games. The senior from Gornj Milanovic, Serbia, scored 12 and had a career-best 14 rebounds on November 19 at Boston College.

This season, Ilic leads the Greyhounds with 14.5 points and a Patriot League-leading 9.7 rebounds per game.

Ilic ranks 21st in the nation in rebounds per game, is 20th in offensive rebounds (3.67) and 67th in defensive rebounds (6.0) per game.

The Greyhounds will be back on the court Monday night with a 7 p.m. game at Coppin State.
