BALTIMORE – Bucknell University went up by 12 points less than 10 minutes into Wednesday's Patriot League game at Loyola University Maryland, and the Bison maintained a double-digit lead for the rest of the way in a 68-46 win over the Greyhounds in Reitz Arena.
Josh Adoh gave Bucknell its first lead of 10 or more with a driving layup at 11:31, but
Alonso Faure countered with a basket for the Greyhounds 29 seconds later, and the Bucknell lead was 18-9.
Adoh, however, made a three on the next possession, and the Bison lead was 12 or more for the remainder of the game.
Jack Forrest finished with a game-high 18 points, while Adoh and Josh Bascoe added 10 each for the Bison.
Milos Ilic paced Loyola with 14 points and seven rebounds, while
Jordan Stiemke scored 12 for his fifth game of 10 or more points in the Greyhounds' last seven.
Tyson Commander added nine points and four assists, while Faure matched Ilic for game-high honors with seven rebounds.
Loyola will close the regular season on Saturday, March 2, with a 5 p.m. home game against Army West Point.
