ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Anna Rico won the No. 5 singles match in straight sets, but hers was the lone point on Thursday as Navy topped the Loyola University Maryland women's tennis team, 6-1, in a Patriot League match.

Rico battled Navy's Anna Jordaan for a 6-4, 6-3 victory to provide the Greyhounds a point.

Emily Tannenbaum posted a 6-1, 6-0 win over Olivia Tracey at No. 1, and Samantha Johns beat Christine Richiez, 6-4, 6-0, at No. 1. Sia Chaudry was a 6-3, 6-0 winner against Liza Tankimovich at No. 3, and Kate Lee defeated Lauren Manwiller, 6-2, 6-0 at No. 4. Makaila Chang completed singles with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Emi Shivkumar in the No. 6 flight.

In doubles play, Chaudry and Johns beat Richiez and Manwiller, 6-1, at No. 2, and Olivia Ferno and Tannenbaum topped Tankimovich and Tracey, 6-2, at No. 2. Lee paired with Parvathi Shanker for a 6-1 win over Shivkumar and Jocelyn Assael at No. 3.
