Opening Draw
- Loyola continues non-conference play as they travel to face off against Georgetown on Wednesday
- The Greyhounds currently hold a 9-game winning streak over Georgetown, as they face their former conference foe. 
- The Greyhounds were members of the Big East from 2006-2013, and held a 2-8 record against the Hoyas during their time in the Big East. 
- Loyola won two Big East Tournament Championships, coming in 2011 and 2012, before they moved to the Patriot League. Since leaving the Big East, Loyola has won all nine games againt the Hoyas. 
- Georgia Latch and Chase Boyle have both earned two Patriot League Player of the Week awards so far this season. Boyle was named the USA Lacrosse Magazine Division I Player of the Week following the win over Penn State. 
- Jen Adams is back for her 16th season at the helm of the Greyhounds, as they have experienced two of the best years in program history of the past two years.

Scouting Georgetown
- The Hoyas come into the matchup with a 2-4 record on the season, and have lost their last four games after starting the season with a pair of wins. 
- Georgetown started off the season with wins over American and Towson, before losing to Rutgers, Harvard, Johns Hopkins and Delaware. 
- The Hoyas are averaging 10.2 goals per game this season, as they are led by Emma Gebhardt and Gracie Driggs who have 15 goals each. 
- Kylie Hazen leads the team with 9 assists thurs far this season. 
- In net, Leah Warehime has started every game, totaling 41 saves for a 37.3 save percentage on the year. 
- Georgetown was picked to finish in fourth place this season, receiving 21 points in the poll, including one first place vote. Reigning champion, Denver, was picked to repeat as Big East Champion. 
- The Hoyas are coming off of a 2023 season that saw them finish 7-10, as they missed the Big East Tournament. 
- In last years' matchup, Kyle Hazen led the way for the Hoyas with four goals and a assist. 

Preseason All-Americans
Three Greyhounds earned Preseason All-American nods leading into the 2024 season. 
Junior Lauren Spence was named to the USA Lacrosse Magazine and Inside Lacrosse Second Team All-American. 
Senior Sydni Black was named to the USA Lacrosse Magazine Third Team All-American, while also being named to the Inside Lacrosse All-American honorable mention. 
Junior Georgia Latch was named to the USA Lacrosse Magazine and Inside Lacrosse All-American Third Team. 

Dominance From The Circle
- The Greyhounds ended the 2023 season as the No. 1 team in NCAA Division I in draw control percentage, winning 69 percent of their draws. 
- Loyola has picked up where they left off in 2023 in the circle, as Loyola ranks 2nd in Division I in draw control percentage (67.5%).
- Chase Boyle has stepped up and filled Jillian Wilson's shoes, as she as accounted for 54 percent of the Greyhounds draws this season. 
- Boyle currently leads the Patriot League and is second in the country in draw controls per game, averaging 10.5 through four games this season. 
- Boyle set a new personal-high for draws in a single-game, when she grabbed 15 in the win over No. 25 Penn State. 
- She already surpassed her total from the 2023 season (39), and currently is on pace to surpass Jillian Wilson's mark of 198 draws last season.
- This is not uncharted territory for the Greyhounds, as they have successfully replaced their main draw control player over the past few years. 
- The Greyhounds have relied on a next women up in the circle and have had success with it, in large part due to assistant coach Dana Dobbie, who coaches the draw and is a big reason to their success.

Nationally Ranked
- After their win over No. 25 Penn State, the Greyhounds remained ranked in the top 10 in the IWLCA Poll and in the USA Lacrosse Poll. 
- Loyola was ranked No. 7 in the IWLCA Poll and No. 8 in the USA Lacrosse Poll. 
- The IWLCA Poll features six opponents on the Greyhounds 2024 schedule: Syracuse (No. 5), Florida (No. 11), Penn (No. 14), Johns Hopkins (No. 15), Navy (No. 16), and Princeton (No. 21), while Penn State received votes in the poll.

Boyle on Fire
- Chase Boyle has had a big start to the season, as she has scored at least two goals in every game and scored at least four points in every game. 
- Boyle started the season with a two goal, three assist game, which was a career-best in assists for her. 
- She followed it up with a four goal game, followed by two, 6-goal games in her last two games, which is a career-best. 
- Boyle has also had at least 8 draws in each game so far, including a career-high 15 against Penn State.  

Latch, Osborne, and Spence Earn PL Preseason Major Awards
- Georgia Latch was named the Patriot League Preseason Attacker of the Year for the second straight season. Latch had a career-best year in 2023, tallying career-highs in goals (45), assists (44), and points (89). She ranked 13th in Division I in total assists and 17th in points. 
- Lily Osborne was named the Patriot League Preseason Defender of the Year for the first time in her career. She picks up where Detwiler picked up as a three-time Defensive Player of the Year. Osborne was named to the All-Patriot League second team in 2023, and played a crucial role on the defensive end, helping Loyola to the No. 2 scoring defense in NCAA Division I. She started all 22 games, tallying 18 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers.  
- Lauren Spence was named the Patriot League Preseason Goalkeeper of the Year. The reigning Goalkeeper of the Year was second in NCAA Division I in goals allowed average (7.18) and fifth in saves percentage (.520) while also leading the Patriot League in both of those categories. 

Latch-Black, One-Two Punch
- Georgia Latch and Sydni Black come into the 2023 season as one of the best 1-2 punches in the country. 
- The duo led the Greyhounds in points last season, combining for 170 points between the two players. 
- They were one of seven duos in the country to each have at least 80 points in 2023. 
- Through four games this season, Latch and Black have picked up where they left off, as both already surpassed double-digit goals on the season. Latch leads the team with 26 points (16 goals, 10 assists) while Black is third on the team with 15 points (13 goals, 6 assists)
- Both Black and Latch are averaging at least a hat-trick per game, while Latch is also averaging 2 assists per game for a average of 6.5 points per game, which is sixth in the country. 
- Latch, the Preseason Patriot League Attacker of the Year, leads the Patriot League through four games in assists per game and points per game. 
- Black also has a team-high 6 caused turnovers this season.
