- In last years matchup, Loyola scored the first 8 goals of the game, jumping out to a 8-0 lead in the second quarter. The Greyhounds also scored another 7 straight goals between the 2nd and 3rd quarter.

Chase Boyle have both earned two Patriot League Player of the Week awards so far this season. Boyle was named the USA Lacrosse Magazine Division I Player of the Week following the win over Penn State.

Jen Adams is back for her 16th season at the helm of the Greyhounds, as they have experienced two of the best years in program history of the past two years.
Scouting Towson
- The Tigers come into the matchup with a 2-3 record on the season, and won their last game against UMBC on Wednesday.
- On the season, Towson is averaging 10.2 points on the season, while allowing 12.0 goals per game.
- They are winning 43.1 percent of draw controls on the season, and have a clear percentage of 90.3 percent.
- Milana Zizakovic leads the team in goals and points, tallying 16 goals and 18 points on the season. Lindsey Marshal leads the team in assists, with 5 assists on the season.
- In goal Loyola will go against a familiar face in Jo Torres. Prior to Towson, Torres played two years at Navy, starting every game, and was named to the Second Team All-Patriot League her sophomore season.
- So far this season, Torres has played every minute in goal for the Tigers, tallying 57 saves on 150 shots faced and a .487 save percentage. She also boasts a 12.00 goals agaisnt average.
- In the CAA Preseason Poll, the Tigers were picked to finish in third place, behinid Stony Brook and Drexel.

- Three Greyhounds earned Preseason All-American nods leading into the 2024 season.

Lauren Spence was named to the USA Lacrosse Magazine and Inside Lacrosse Second Team All-American.

Sydni Black was named to the USA Lacrosse Magazine Third Team All-American, while also being named to the Inside Lacrosse All-American honorable mention.

Dominance From The Circle
- The Greyhounds ended the 2023 season as the No. 1 team in NCAA Division I in draw control percentage, winning 69 percent of their draws.
- Loyola has picked up where they left off in 2023 in the circle, as Loyola ranks 4th in Division I in draw control percentage (66.4%).

Chase Boyle has stepped up and filled
Jillian Wilson's shoes, as she as accounted for 56 percent of the Greyhounds draws this season.
- Boyle currently leads the Patriot League and is third in the country in draw controls per game, averaging 10.2 through five games this season.
- Boyle set a new personal-high for draws in a single-game, when she grabbed 15 in the win over No. 25 Penn State.
- She already surpassed her total from the 2023 season (39), and currently is on pace to surpass
Jillian Wilson's mark of 198 draws last season.
- This is not uncharted territory for the Greyhounds, as they have successfully replaced their main draw control player over the past few years.
- The Greyhounds have relied on a next women up in the circle and have had success with it, in large part due to assistant coach
Dana Dobbie, who coaches the draw and is a big reason to their success.
Nationally Ranked
- After their win over No. 25 Penn State, the Greyhounds remained ranked in the top 10 in the IWLCA Poll and in the USA Lacrosse Poll.
- Loyola was ranked No. 7 in the IWLCA Poll and No. 8 in the USA Lacrosse Poll.
- The IWLCA Poll features six opponents on the Greyhounds 2024 schedule: Syracuse (No. 5), Florida (No. 11), Penn (No. 14), Johns Hopkins (No. 15), Navy (No. 16), and Princeton (No. 21), while Penn State received votes in the poll.
Boyle on Fire

Chase Boyle has had a big start to the season, as she has scored at least two goals in every game and scored at least four points in every game.
- Boyle started the season with a two goal, three assist game, which was a career-best in assists for her.
- She followed it up with a four goal game, followed by two, 6-goal games in her last two games, which is a career-best.
- Boyle has also had at least 8 draws in each game so far, including a career-high 15 against Penn State.
Latch, Osborne, and Spence Earn PL Preseason Major Awards

Georgia Latch was named the Patriot League Preseason Attacker of the Year for the second straight season. Latch had a career-best year in 2023, tallying career-highs in goals (45), assists (44), and points (89). She ranked 13th in Division I in total assists and 17th in points.

Lily Osborne was named the Patriot League Preseason Defender of the Year for the first time in her career. She picks up where Detwiler picked up as a three-time Defensive Player of the Year. Osborne was named to the All-Patriot League second team in 2023, and played a crucial role on the defensive end, helping Loyola to the No. 2 scoring defense in NCAA Division I. She started all 22 games, tallying 18 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers.

Lauren Spence was named the Patriot League Preseason Goalkeeper of the Year. The reigning Goalkeeper of the Year was second in NCAA Division I in goals allowed average (7.18) and fifth in saves percentage (.520) while also leading the Patriot League in both of those categories.
Latch-Black-Boyle, Troubling Trio

Chase Boyle and
Sydni Black come into the 2023 season as one of the best 1-2-3 punches in the country.
- The trio were three of the top four point scorers for the Greyhounds last season, combining for 232 points between the two players.
- Black and Latch were one of seven duos in the country to each have at least 80 points in 2023.
- Through five games this season, Latch, Boyle, and Black have picked up where they left off, as they all have already surpassed the 20 goal mark on the season. Boyle leads the team with 21 goals to go along with 4 assists, while Latch leads the team in points with 32 (20 goals, 12 assists), and Black is second on the team in points, with 27 (20 goals, 7 assists)
- The trio are the only trio of teammates in Division I that each have 20 goals so far this season.
- They are also the only trio in the country that is each currently averaging at least 4 goals per game.

Players to Watch
- Coming into the 2024 season, the Greyhounds will look to continue their winning ways, and with that, comes players taking their next step.

Anna Ruby burst onto the scene in 2023, as she scored 25 goals and tallied 14 assists on the season, after combining for just 8 assists in the previous three seasons. Head Coach
Jen Adams things Ruby has another gear that she will hit this season, and can be the perfect piece to compliment Latch and Black on the offensive end.
- The Loyola coaching staff has liked what they have seen from
Blake Cunneen this offseason, as they believe the senior has gotten strong and more confident, and can be a key piece this season.
