Baltimore – Sydni Black and Chase Boyle posted career bests for the Loyola University Maryland women's lacrosse team, as they pulled away from visiting Princeton University in the second half, to win 21-11 in a non-conference matchup. 

Sydni Black posted a career-high 10 points, to go along with a career-best 5 assists. Chase Boyle scored a career-best 8 goals on the evening. 

Georgia Latch also had a big day, as she posted 7 points, on 5 goals and 2 assists. 

Regan Kielmeyer and Catie Corolla added one goal and one assist each. 

Loyola got out to a fast start in the first quarter, as they scored three goals within the first four minutes of game time. 

Georgia Latch scored the opening goal, on a Sydni Black assist, as the Greyhounds (12-1 overall, 6-0 Patriot League) took advantage of a early player-up opportunity. 

Chase Boyle followed it up with a goal of her own, from another assist from Black. Black then scored her first of the game just 31 seconds later, as she scored on a free position goal, as Loyola led 3-0 with 11:35 remaining. 

After another Loyola goal, the Tigers (7-4 overall, 3-1 Ivy League) got on the board, as they took advantage of a player-up opportunity. 

Regan Kielmeyer scored her lone goal of the game, assisted once again by Sydni Black, as Loyola led 5-1 at the end of the first quarter. 

Latch scored her second goal of the game early in the second quarter, as she picked up the ground ball off of a Loyola shot, and got past her defender as she shot low-to-high for the goal. 

After a Princeton free position goal, Chase Boyle scored just 23 seconds later, thanks to a assist from Anna Ruby, as she wrapped her shot infront of the goalkeeper for the goal. 

The Greyhounds momentum slowed to close out the half, as Latch and Corolla added goals to close out the half, as Loyola led 9-3 at halftime. 

After a slow start to the second half, Chase Boyle scored her third goal of the game, as Loyola took advantage of another player-up opportunity, to take a 10-3 lead. 

Princeton responded, however, with a four-goal run, as they go their deficit down to four goals, as they trailed 10-7 with 5:44 remaining. 

Loyola responded with a 4-0 run of their own to close out the third quarter. Sydni Black stopped the Princeton run, as she scored a solo goal, as she used her speed to get past her defender before finishing with a twizler goal. 

The Greyhounds followed it up with a full team goal, as Lily Osborne came up with the caused turnover and started the fast break. She found Anna Ruby, who had the hockey assist to Georgia Latch, who found Sydni Black who finished the play with a high shot for the goal. 

Black added another goal just 52 seconds later, while Latch scored with two seconds remaining in the quarter, as Loyola led 14-7 entering the fourth quarter.

Princeton started the fourth quarter with a free position goal one minute into the quarter to cut their deficit down to six goals. 

Chase Boyle followed it up with her fifth goal of the night, as she took it herself as she shot high-to-low to extend the lead. 

Both teams traded two goals each over the next three minutes of game time, as Loyola kept Princeton at a 8-goal difference. 

Boyle scored two more goals, while Latch added another goal down the stretch to seal the game, as Loyola went on to win 21-11. 

Loyola controlled the possession throughout the game, as they won the draw control battle, 21-13. Sydni Black finished with a game-high 8 draw controls, while Boyle had 7, and Latch and 6 on the night. 

Lauren Spence tallied 8 saves in goal on the evening, as she also grabbed two ground balls in the win. 

Loyola will continue Patriot League play on Saturday, as they will host Boston at 12:00 PM for senior day.
