PENNSAUKEN, N.J. – Two Loyola University Maryland women's rowing boats reached their respective grand finals Saturday as the Greyhounds competed at the Dad Vail Regatta on the Cooper River.
The women's 2V4 –
Olivia Welch,
Grace Dwan,
Kylie Doyle,
Adriana Leszczynski and coxswain
Callista Van Syckel – finished fourth in its grand final, crossing the line in 8:36.342 behind boats from Georgetown, Wisconsin and Drexel.
The women's V8 with
Josephine Lightner,
Mikayla Smith,
Katherine Convery,
Daniella Niedermeyer,
Beata Turnquist,
Grace Prince,
Mary Cate Burger,
Lindsey Bonavita and coxswain
Kat An then was sixth, finishing with a time of 7:25.034 in its grand final to close the competition for Loyola.
Earlier in the day, the V8 went 7:27.415 to finish third behind Drexel and Embry-Riddle in its semifinal to reach the grand.
