Women's Soccer Adds Sumer Rahe to Coaching Staff

Baltimore -- Sumer Rahe makes a return to the Loyola University Maryland women's lacrosse program, as Head Coach Joe Mallia added Rahe to the coaching staff for the 2024 season.

Rahe, who played for Loyola from 2015-2018, will return to the Greyhounds and will serve as a assistant coach and work with the goalkeepers during the season.

Rahe appeared in 50 games for the Greyhounds, starting in 43 of those games, during her career at Loyola. She started every game her last two seasons, posting a career .693 save percentage and a 1.54 goals against average to go along with 8 shutouts. She graduated from Loyola in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Phsycology.

Prior to rejoining the Greyhounds, Rahe most recently served as the goalkeeper coach for the Maryland Rush and currently is a goalkeeper coach for the Maryland Olympic Development Program. Rahe has also continued her playing career, as she last played for the Baltimore Blast in 2023 and 2024, where she also served as team captain.

Prior to her time at Loyola, Rahe played for the San Diego Surf of the ECNL for five seasons.
