Bethlehem -- The Patriot League announced their 2025 Preseason Awards and All-League team, as the women's lacrosse team swept the four major awards, as announced on Thursday afternoon.
Georgia Latch was selected as the Preseason Offensive Player of the Year, as
Chase Boyle was selected as the Preseason Midfielder of the Year.
Lily Osborne was selected as the Preseason Defensive Player of the Year, while
Lauren Spence was chosen as the Preseason Goalkeeper of the Year. All four players were also named to the Preseason All-Patriot League Team.
The Greyhounds were also voted as the Preseason favorites, earning 161 points in the poll, including 17 first-place votes.
Latch was named the Preseason Attacker of the Year for the third straight season. Latch is a three-time First Team All-Patriot League selection, as she was also named the Attacker of the Year in 2023. Latch had another strong season in 2024, including scoring the game-winning goal in overtime in the Patriot League Championship. She is coming off of a 2024 season where she was seventh in Division I in points (102).
Boyle, a two-time First Team All-Patriot League selection, enters the 2025 season as the reigning Patriot League Midfielder of the Year. Boyle broke both the Patriot League and Loyola record for draw controls in a season (208) during the 2024 season. Boyle was also a Tewaaraton award finalist, IWLCA Midfielder of the Year, and IWLCA First Team All-American in 2024.
Osborne is the reigning Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year, as she led the Greyhounds backline to allowing just 8.48 goals per game. Osborne was also named as a USA Lacrosse All-American Honorable Mention in 2024. She tallied 27 ground balls and 25 caused turnovers last season.
Spence, who was named as the Preseason Goalkeeper of the Year last season, started all 21 games in goal last season, as she averaged 8.64 goals allowed per game, a .462 save percentage, and 154 saves. Spence held Patriot League opponents to single-digit goals in 8 of 11 games last season, including a shutout against Lehigh in the Patriot League Semifinals.
