WESTFIELD, N.J. –
Eli Spaulding is ninth as an individual, and two other Loyola Unviersity Maryland golfers are in the top 25 as individuals after the first day of competition at Echo Lake Country Club and the Georgetown Intercollegaite.
Winds at the course were sustained at 15 miles per hour or more throughout the first round on Monday of the tournament that has been shortened to only 36 holes due to the weather moving through the Mid-Atlantic area.
Spaulding had three birdies, tied for fourth most among all players in the tournament through 18 holes, and finished the day at 4-over 75.

Jack Geyer shot matching 6-over 77s to tie for 21
st, and
Liam Moloney carded a 7-over 78 for 33
rd.
Diego Neira shot 13-over 84 and is 54
th for the Greyhounds.
As a team, Loyola is tied for sixth with Villanova at 23-over. Delaware leads the team race at 16-over par.
Play will continue with the final round on Tuesday, October 14.
