BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Loyola University Maryland junior guard
Jacob Theodosiou was one of five players named to the Preseason All-Patriot League Team on Wednesday by a vote of conference coaches.
Theodosiou is the team's leading returning scorer after averaging 13.0 points in his first season with the Greyhounds during the 2024-25 campaign. Loyola was picked to finish sixth in the preseason poll.
Last year, Theodosiou started all 31 games for Loyola after coming to the Evergreen campus following his freshman year of 2023-24 at the University of Wyoming.
He led the team in Patriot League in steals (54) and steals per game (1.7) while also finishing second on the team in points, third in rebounds per game (4.0) and second in assists per game (2.7).
The Waterloo, Ontario, native averaged 13.6 points in 18 regular-season Patriot League games and 14.2 points per game over the season's final 25 games. He averaged 16.0 points and 4.0 assists in two Patriot League Championships games to close the year.
He also excelled it he classroom, earning CSC Academic All-District and Patriot League Academic Honor Roll recognition.
Theodosiou was joined on the Preseason All-Patriot League team by Kryone Alexander (Boston University), Austin Benigini (Navy), Jalen Cox (Colgate) and Greg Jones (American).
