BALTIMORE – Loyola University Maryland volleyball hit .364 in the third set Saturday to push its Patriot League match to four, but the U.S. Military Academy came back to win the final frame for a 25-19, 25-17, 17-25, 15-15 victory in Reitz Arena.
The Black Knights finished with 66 kills to the Greyhounds' 41, hitting .368 in the process.
Kacy Sekunda led Loyola with 16 kills, five of which she had in the third set.
Ellie Joffe all four of her kills in that set, as well.
Gabi Verdicchio had 21 assists, while Sekunda had 10.
Addie Huber led the Greyhounds with 12 digs.
Loyola will continue its three-match homestand with a pair of matches next weekend in Reitz Arena. The Greyhounds will host Bucknell at 6 p.m. on Friday, October 24, and Lafayette the following afternoon at 4 o'clock.
