Loyola University Maryland golf returns to East Hampton, New York, this week to host one of the highlights of the college golfing calendar, the Hamptons Intercollegiate at Maidstone Club.
The Greyhounds will host hte sixth-annual event Monday and Tuesday, October 6-7, at the oceanfront links course. This year, Loyola is joined by Florida State, Georgetown, Georgia, Harvard, 2024 tournament champion Ole Miss, Penn, Princeton, Stanford, Wake Forest and Yale, a group that has combined for 41 past NCAA titles.
Teams will tee off starting at 7:35 a.m. on Monday and play 36 holes on the tournament's first day. They will return Tuesday for the final 18 with tee times starting against at 7:35.
Ole Miss won the team title last year with a tournament-record three-round score of 26-under, and the Rebels' Michael La Sasso shot 15-under for the individual crown.
Loyola is coming off its second tournament, and first team victory, of the season after it played two weeks ago at The Goat in Annapolis, Maryland. The Greyhounds posted a five-shot victory over the 16-team field, and their starting five from that event–Liam Moloney, Diego Neira, Gustavo Rangel, Jackson Roman and Eli Spaulding–remains the same for this tournament with Jackson Geyer coming in as the team's individual in this week's field.
