EAST HAMPTON, N.Y. – Jack Geyer is even par through 35 holes to lead the Loyola University Maryland golf team at the Hamptons Intercollegiate where play was suspended due to darkness at The Maidstone Club.
Geyer, who is playing as an individual, shot 2-over 74 in the first around and is 2-under after 17 in the second round.
The Greyhounds have completed at least 13 holes and will resume play on Tuesday with groups from other schools that completed their rounds teeing off for the third at 7:50 a.m. Loyola and teams playing the course's back nine will begin at 8:25 a.m., and those groups playing the front nine will begin at 8:35. Players will continue through into the third round with their current groups.
Eli Spaulding led Loyola in the first round with an even-par 72, and he is tied for 31st at 4-over through 14.
Liam Moloney is 5-over and tied for 36th, and
Jackson Roman is one shot back of him tied for 39th. Roman eagled the course's 15th hole and is 1-under through 16 in the second round.
Diego Neira is 1-over through 13 in the second and is tied for 47th at 10-over;
Gustavo Rangel is 13-over and 56th.
