EAST HAMPTON, N.Y. – Jack Geyer,
Eli Spaulding and
Liam Moloney all finished in the top-30 individually, and the Loyola University Maryland golf team took ninth at the Hamptons Intercollegiate on Tuesday at The Maidstone Club.
Geyer had the best finish of his young collegiate career, tying for 27
th at 5-over par while playing as the Greyhounds' individual. The freshman shot 5-over 277 over the three rounds.
Spaulding and Moloney were a shot back at 6-over and tied for 29
th.
Jackson Roman finished at 8-over 224 and tied for 37
th.
Gustavo Roman had the Greyhounds' best round on Tuesday, shooting 1-under 71 to move up to a tie for 48
th at 14-over for the tournament.
Diego Neira was two shots back and tied for 49
th.
Georgia won the team race at 7-under 857, three shots better than Wake Forest and eight in front of Ole Miss. Stanford was fourth, while Florida State and Princeton tied for fifth.
The Greyhounds will be back on the road next week for the Georgetown Intercollegiate at Echo Lake Country Club in Westfield, New Jersey, on Monday and Tuesday, October 13-14.
