The Matchup
  • The Greyhounds will wrap up a two-game road trip in Virginia on Tuesday morning when they will face Radford at 11:00 AM.
  • This will be the second matchup between the two programs, with Loyola winning the first matchup last season, 70-64 in overtime.

Non-Conference Outlook
  • Non-conference play opened the season with No. 10 Maryland on November 3, where they fell 80-26.
  • Loyola hosted La Salle for their home opener, but fell 71-59. Loyola began a two-game trip to Virginia where they lost to Virginia Tech 64-48. Loyola now will face Radford on Tuesday.
  • The Greyhounds will remain on the road to take on Drexel in Philadelphia before returning home to face Mount St. Mary's on November 20.
  • Loyola then travels to Yale on November 23 and heads into Thanksgiving with a home matchup against Delaware on November 26.
  • The Greyhounds wrap up non-conference play with a trio of local opponents: Towson on December 4, UMBC on December 9, and Morgan State at home on December 21.

Scouting Radford
  • Radford comes into the matchup with a 1-2 record on the season and are coming off of a 69-32 win over Emory and Henry on Saturday. 
  • Through three games, Radford has six players averaging more than 5.0 points per game, led by Adelyn Traylor-Walker who leads the team with 8.3 points per game. 
  • As a team, the Highlanders are averaging 56.3 points per game on 32.3 percent shooting, while allowing 63.0 points on 34.1 percent shooting. 
  • Coming into the season, Radford was picked to finish in third place in the Big South, receiving 67 points and one first place vote in the Preseason Poll. 
  • Joi Williams and Cate Carlson were both named Big South Preseason First Team honorees. 

On The Mend
  • Lex Therien, Cristina Garcia, and Kimmie Hicks all return to the Greyhounds this season after missing most of last year due to injuries.
  • Therien enters her fifth year with Loyola after appearing in just three games last season. A four-time Patriot League Preseason All-League nominee, she has averaged 14.6 points and 10.8 rebounds per game on 49.9% shooting over her career.
  • Garcia played in 10 games last season, starting nine, before missing the remainder of the year. She has appeared in 62 career games and looks to take on a larger role in her final season with Loyola.
  • Hicks was enjoying a breakout sophomore campaign, averaging 14.6 points and 5.0 rebounds per game over nine appearances.

Worth Noting
  • Last season, Lex Therien became the fifth player in program history to record 1,000 career rebounds. She is also one of just five players in program history to reach both 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds.
  • Therien enters this season ranked seventh in career points (1,361), second in field goals made (569), and fifth in total rebounds (1,006), while holding the program record for rebounds per game (10.8). She also owns three of the top five single-season rebounding marks in program history.
  • Koi Sims posted the fourth-best single-season rebounding total last year, collecting 307 boards. She finished just three offensive rebounds shy of breaking the program's single-season record.
