  • Loyola also swept the Preseason Major Awards, as Georgia Latch, Chase Boyle, Lily Osborne, and Lauren Spence were all named as the Preseason Attacker, Midfielder, Defensive Player, and Goalkeeper of the Year, respectively.

Nationally Ranked
  • The Greyhounds enter the season ranked in the top-10 in both of the ILWomen and USA Lacrosse Polls.
  • Loyola has now been ranked in the national preseason polls for six-straight seasons.

Record Tracking
  • Chase Boyle comes off of a 2024 season where she broke the single-season program record for goals (85) and draw controls (208)
  • Boyle also broke the Patriot League draw control record, that was set by Jillian Wilson's (198), in 2023.

  • Latch has recorded at least 38 goals and assists in each of her three seasons, and has seen increases in goals and points over the last two seasons.

Scouting Boston College
  • The Eagles begin the 2025 season as the reigning National Champions, as they knocked off Northwestern in the 2024 National Championship game.
  • Boston College enters the season with the No. 1 ranking in both of the USA Lacrosse Magazine and the ILWomen Polls.
  • They will return several key players, including Shea Baker, Rachel Clark, and Mckenna Davis, who were all named ILWomen Preseason All-American First Team members. Emma LoPinto and Shea Dolce also were named to the Second Team.
  • Clark led the team in goals (78) and points (101) during the 2024 season, and is one of four players returning this year that scored over 100 points last season (Boyle and Latch (Loyola), Madison Taylor (Northwestern)).
  • Shea Dolce returns between the pipes for the Eagles, after a 2024 season where she posted a 8.74 goals against average, a .470 save percentage, and 165 saves.
  • Boston College has reached the National Championship in each of the past seven seasons (excluding 2020), winning it in 2021 and 2024.
  • All three of the teams previous meetings came in the NCAA Tournament (2014, 2015, 2022). Loyola's lone win came in 2015 in the NCAA First Round.

More on Spence
  • Lauren Spence enters her third season as the starting goalkeeper for the Greyhounds.
  • In her career, she has posed a 7.78 goals against average, a .492 save percentage, and 304 career saves.
  • She has also posted a 37-6 record over the past two seasons, as she enters the 2025 season with the fifth most wins in a career, as she trails the most wins in a career in program history by just 9 wins.

Dominance From The Circle
  • The Greyhounds ended the 2024 season as the No. 3 ranked team in NCAA Division I in draw control percentage, winning 67.5 percent of their draws.
  • Loyola has finished in the top-five for draw control percentage in each of the last four seasons.
  • Chase Boyle had a huge season from the circle in 2024, as she set the Loyola and Patriot League record with 208 draw controls. Boyle recorded more draw controls herself than all of the Greyhounds opponents combined.
  • Boyle finished ranked for fifth in Division I in draw controls per game, as she is averaging 9.9.
  • Boyle set a new personal-high for draws in a single-game, when she grabbed 17 in the win over Colgate last season.
  • The Greyhounds have relied on a next women up in the circle and have had success with it, in large part due to assistant coach Dana Dobbie, who coaches the draw and is a big reason to their success.
