Jacob Theodosiou scored a career-high 32 points on Saturday afternoon, but Colgate University closed out the game on a 10-1 run over the final 1:08 of the game to down the visiting Loyola University Maryland men's basketball team.
Coming out of a timeout,
Jacob Theodosiou hit his fifth three-pointer of the day, as the Greyhounds (10-13 overall, 5-7 Patriot League) tied the game at 59-59 with 4:33 remaining in the fourth quarter.
Colgate responded on the ensuing possession with a three-pointer of their own, to retake the three-point lead.
After back-to-back baskets from the Raiders (10-15 overall, 7-5 conference), Theodosiou continued his hot shooting, as he hit his sixth three-pointer of the day to trail 66-62.
Colgate began to pull away late in the second half, as they closed out the game on a 16-6 run over the final 2:44 of the game, as they went 10-11 from the foul line to close out the game and hold on for the 82-68 win.
Theodosiou led all scorers with 32 points for a career-high, as he tied a career-best with six made three-pointers. He also added six rebounds and four assists to tie for the team lead in both.

Coming out of halftime, both offenses started strong, as both teams shot over 50% from the field over the first ten minutes of the first half. Colgate managed to cut their deficit down to three points, before
Tyson Commander scored on a driving layup to extend the Loyola lead back to five points.
Late in the first half,
Jordan Stiemke scored through contact on a acrobatic finish, as he completed the three-point play, as Loyola took a 26-21 lead with 4:46 remaining in the first half.
Colgate responded with a pair of made shots on back-to-back possessions to cut their deficit down to one point.
Milos Illic closed the first half strong, as he scored six points during a Greyhounds 8-0 run to close out the first half, as they went into halftime with a 34-25 lead.
Jalen Cox led the Raiders with 22 points and 10 assists on the afternoon.
The Greyhounds will return to Reitz Arena on Wednesday evening as they will host Army West Point at 7:00 PM.
