Baltimore -- The No. 15 Loyola University Maryland women's lacrosse team held Towson University to just two goals in the second half, as the Greyhounds outscored the Tigers 12-2 in the second half to pull away for the 19-8 win in a non-conference matchup.
With 8 points in today's win,
Georgia Latch now sits in fifth place in career points in program history. Latch now has 294 career points, which is the fourth most in program history, as she passed Stacey Morlang ('02, 288 points) and Annie Thomas ('15, 290 points) in today's win.
Elisa Faklaris scored a career-high five goals to lead the Greyhounds, while
Georgia Latch had eight points on the afternoon, with four goals and four assists.
Ava Kane recorded her second hat trick of the season, while
Emma Talago and
Mim Suares-Jury each had three points each.
Coming out of halftime, the Greyhounds scored a pair of goals within the first minute of the third quarter.
Chase Boyle won the opening draw, as
Gabby Stapleton found Boyle just 25 seconds into the quarter for her first goal of the day as Loyola took a 8-6 lead.

Ava Kane scored her first goal of the day, as the Greyhounds (3-2 overall, 1-0 Patriot League) took a 9-6 lead with 14:04 left in the third quarter.
Towson responded just over two minutes later, as the Tigers' (3-2 overall) Hailey Waldron scored to cut their deficit down to two goals.
Loyola continued to click on the offensive end, as they would score three goals in a four-minute span, thanks to goals from Latch,
Emma Talago, and Faklaris, as they jumped out to a 12-7 lead.
The Greyhounds defense stepped up in the third quarter, as they held Towson to just six shots, while forcing five turnovers in the third quarter.
Lauren Spence came up with three saves in the third quarter, to hold Towson to one goal in the third quarter.
Loyola's momentum continued into the fourth quarter, as the Greyhounds scored three goals within the first seven minutes of the fourth quarter, to jump out to a 15-7 lead with 8:38. After a Towson goal with 6:55 remaining, Loyola responded with four goals over the remainder of the fourth quarter.
Caroline Gerosa scored her first career goal for Loyola, as she capitalized on the extra player opportunity, on the assist from
Olivia Blanding.
Kane and Latch followed up Gerosa's goal with goals of their own down the stretch, as
Morgan Quade's first career goal with 57 seconds left put a exclamation point on the Greyhounds 19-8 win over Towson.
For the fifth time this season, the Greyhounds controlled the draw circle, as they held the advantage, 21-10.
Chase Boyle recorded double-digit draws for the third time this season, as she led the way with 10, while
Lily Osborne recorded a career-best 8 draws.
Lauren Spence recorded double-digit saves in consecutive games, as she recoded 10 saves in the win.
Valerie Thompson led Towson with two goals in the game, as seven different players scored one goal. Four of Towson's eight goals came from the free-position on the afternoon.
Loyola returns to Ridley on Wednesday as they host Georgetown at 4:00 PM.
