Opening Draw
  • Loyola returns to Ridley on Wednesday as they will host the Georgetown Hoyas at 4:00 PM.
  • The Greyhounds have won the last 10 matchups, dating back to the 2014 season.  
  • This will be the 28th meeting between the two programs, with Loyola leading the series, 16-9.
  • In the Preseason Patriot League Poll, Loyola was picked to repeat as Patriot League Champions.     
  • Georgia Latch, Chase Boyle, Lily Osborne, and Lauren Spence all won Preseason major awards from the Patriot League, as they won Preseason Attacker, Midfielder, Defensive Player and Goalkeeper of the Year respectively. 
  • Chase Boyle became the third Greyhound to be named as a Tewaaraton finalist. Joining Grace Gavin and Suzanne Eyler. 
  • Jen Adams is back for her 17th season at the helm of the Greyhounds, as they have compiled a 59-10 record since the beginning of the 2022 season, which includes five NCAA Tournament wins.

Patriot League Preseason Honors
  • The Greyhounds were picked to repeat as Patriot League Champions, as Loyola has won a NCAA Division I record 84 straight regular season conference games.
  • Loyola also swept the Preseason Major Awards, as Georgia Latch, Chase Boyle, Lily Osborne, and Lauren Spence were all named as the Preseason Attacker, Midfielder, Defensive Player, and Goalkeeper of the Year, respectively.

Greyhounds at Home
  • The Greyhounds have thrived at home, as they have posted a 58-2 record at home since the beginning of the 2019 season.
  • They have gone undefeated at home in 2019, 2022, and 2024. 
  • In Jen Adams tenure, the Greyhounds have gone 102-26 at home. 

Record Tracking
  • Chase Boyle comes off of a 2024 season where she broke the single-season program record for goals (85) and draw controls (208)
  • Boyle also broke the Patriot League draw control record, that was set by Jillian Wilson's (198), in 2023. 
  • Boyle is 48 goals shy of becoming the new program career-leader in goals, as well as 129 draw controls from the program record. 
  • Georgia Latch is now 11 assists shy of having the second most assists in a career, behind only Rosenzweig. She is also just 24 points shy of trailing only Rosenzweig in career points. 
  • Latch has recorded at least 38 goals and assists in each of her three seasons, and has seen increases in goals and points over the last two seasons.  

Scouting Georgetown
  • Georgetown comes into the matchup with a 3-3 record on the season, and are coming off of a 14-8 win over Lehigh on Saturday. 
  • Loyola and Georgetown share four of the Hoya's six opponents, as the Hoyas have played two Patriot League foes in American and Lehigh, as well as Johns Hopkins and Towson. Georgetown won over Lehigh and American but lost to Towson and Johns Hopkins.
  • Through six games, Gracie Driggs leads the team with 15 goals on the season. 
  • Hanna Bishop leads the team in assists (11) and points (20). 
  • From the circle, Driggs leads the team with 22 draws on the season, as three players are tied for second with 12 draws each. 
  • In goal, Leah Warehime has started each game, as she has 53 saves, a 9.55 GAA, and a .486 save percentage. 
  • The matchup against Loyola will be Georgetowns second road game of the season, as the Hoyas traveled to faced Maryland on February 18, where they lost 9-7. 
  • Coming into the season, Georgetown was picked to finish in fourth place in the Big East Preseason Poll, as Denver was picked to repeat as Big East Champions. 
  • Georgetown's Lily Athanas, Gracie Driggs, and Maley Starr were named to the Preseason All-Big East Team. 

More on Spence
  • Lauren Spence enters her third season as the starting goalkeeper for the Greyhounds. 
  • In her career, she has posted a 8.11 goals against average, a .482 save percentage, and 340 career saves. 
  • She has also posted a 40-8 record over the past three seasons, as she enters the 2025 season with the fifth most wins in a career, as she trails the most wins in a career in program history by just 7 wins.    

Dominance From The Circle
  • Loyola ended the 2024 season as the No. 3 ranked team in Division I in draw control percentage, winning 67.5 percent of their draws. 
  • Loyola has finished in the top-five for draw control percentage in each of the last four seasons.
  • Chase Boyle had a huge season from the circle in 2024, as she set the Loyola and Patriot League record with 208 draw controls. Boyle recorded more draw controls herself than all of the Greyhounds opponents combined.
  • Boyle finished ranked for fifth in Division I in draw controls per game, as she is averaging 9.9.  
  • Loyola currently ranks in the top-10 in draw controls per game and draw control percentage, as Boyle also ranks in the top-10 in draws per game.  
  • The Greyhounds have relied on a next women up in the circle and have had success with it, in large part due to assistant coach Dana Dobbie, who coaches the draw and is a big reason to their success.
