The Matchup
  • The Greyhounds begin Postseason play on Saturday, as they travel up to Boston for the Patriot League First Round Matchup against the Terriers.  
  • This will be the 25th meeting between the two programs, with Boston holding a 17-7 edge in the series, as both teams split the season series.    

Quick Hits 
  • Lafayette won the first meeting between the two teams, as Laura Salmeron led the Greyhounds with 21 points in the game.  
  • Laura Salmeron earned  her first career Patriot League honor, as the senior guard was named to the third team All-League team. Salmeron finished the regular season tied for fourth in points per game, as she is averaging 13.9 points. She also is tied for fifth in steals per game and third in minutes played on the season. 
  • Loyola enters the Patriot League Championships as the No. 9 seed. The Greyhounds have won one game in Postseason in each of the last two years, as they reached the Semifinals last season.  

Non-Conference Recap
  • Non-conference play concluded on Monday for the Greyhounds, as they finished non-conference play with their first winning record since the 2005-06 season.  
  • Loyola started the season with a 1-2 record, after two losses to James Madison and St. John's, while beating in-town foe UMBC. 
  • They followed it up with a three-game winning streak, winning each game by double-digits. 
  • After a road loss to Binghamton, the Greyhounds returned to Reitz where they defeated Radford in a overtime thriller, 70-64. 
  • After losses to Mount St. Mary's and No. 3 Notre Dame, the Greyhounds wrapped up non-conference play with a win over Haverford to finish 82-38. 

Scouting Boston
  • Boston comes into the Patriot League Championships with a 11-18 (5-13) record on the season as they enter as the No. 8 seed. 
  • Boston ended the regular season with a 60-47 loss at Navy on Wednesday evening. 
  • The teams split their season series, with the away team winning each matchup.  
  • Alex Giannaros leads the team in scoring, averaging 13.4 points per game, as she was named to the Patriot League Second Team. 
  • On the season, Boston is averaging 57.6 points per game on 41.2 percent shooting on the season, while allowing 64.9 points on 41.9 points per game. 
  • Loyola won 72-68 in their first matchup at Boston earlier in the season.

Heating Up
  • Amandine Amorich has found her stride on the offensive end of the floor for the Greyhounds this season, as the sophomore forward has scored in double figures in 14 games this season. 
  • Laura Salmeron has led the charge for the Greyhounds, as she has averaged 14.0 points per game in conference play and ranks sixth in made three-pointers in league play (30). 
  • Salmeron and Amorich have also been a key contributor on defense, as she Salmeron leads the team with 49 steals, as Amrorich is second with 43 steals.
  • Salmeron, Amorich, and Sims are each averaging double-figures in conference play this season, while Sims is also averaging 10.5 rebounds per game. 
  • Koi Sims is averaging a career-best 9.6 points and 10.4 rebounds per game, as she posted a 16-point and 13 rebound double-double against Bucknell in their last meeting.

Worth Noting
  • With seven rebounds against St. John's Lex Therien became the fifth player in program history to reach 1,000 career rebounds. She now has over 1,000 career points and rebounds. 
  • Sims is five offensive rebounds away from setting the single-season program record.

By The Numbers
  • So far this season, all but one of the Greyhounds wins have come when they have led at halftime. Likewise, they have won all but five games this season when shooting a better percentage from the field. 
  • When scoring at least 60 points this season, the Greyhounds are 7-2. Dating back to the beginning of last season, Loyola is 18-4 when scoring at least 60 points. 
  • While scoring less than 60 points this season, the Greyhounds are 1-18.
  • Loyola posted a 5-9 record while playing at home, while going 4-11 on the road this season. 
  • Following a loss this season, Loyola has gone 7-12 on the season.
