Chase Boyle Named to Tewaaraton Top 25

Baltimore -- The Tewaaraton Foundation has announced the 2025 women's nominees for the Tewaaraton Award on Thursday afternoon, as Loyola University Maryland's Chase Boyle was named as Top-25 finalist.

Boyle, who was a finalist for the Tewaaraton Award following a stellar 2024 season, is named to the Tewaaraton Top-25 for the second straight season. She is one of seven midfielders named to the top-25, and is joined by Army's Brigid Duffy as the only finalists from the Patriot League.

Boyle is a do-it-all midfielder for the Greyhounds, and is the only player to rank in the top-10 in goals (56) and draw controls (159) in Division I this season. She also is a key factor on the defensive end, as she ranks second on Loyola in caused turnovers (16) and fourth with 20 ground balls.

After a record-setting 2024 campaign, Boyle has picked up where she left off, as she has 56 goals through 15 games this season. She has scored a hat-trick in 10 games this season, including five games with at least 6 goals (two games with seven goals). In the draw circle, Boyle has recorded double-digit draws in 12 of 15 games, including a Patriot League and Loyola single-game record, 22 draws, against Boston last Saturday.

With her monster numbers, Boyle has continued to climb up the record books, as she enters the weekend eight goals and 20 draw controls away from breaking the Loyola program record. With eight goals, she will surpass Grace Gavin (2008-11, 229 goals) for career goals, while with 20 draws she will surpass Jillian Wilson (2019-23, 449 draws) for career draws.

Loyola hosts Holy Cross on Saturday for their regular season finale and senior day, as opening draw will be at 12:00 PM.
