Women's Lacrosse Set to Host Patriot League Semifinals and Championship Game

Baltimore – The Patriot League Semifinal field is set, as the Loyola Maryland will host the Semifinals and Final at Ridley Athletic Complex on May 1 and May 3. 
 
Loyola is the No. 1 seed in the bracket, while the Army West Point Black Knights earned the No. 2 seed as both teams had a bye during the Quarterfinal round. 
 
No. 3 Navy advanced to the Semifinals after a 19-2 win over No. 6 Lehigh on Sunday. No. 4 Holy Cross advanced to the Semifinals after a 19-13 win over No. 5 Colgate. 
 
This is the 11th straight season that Loyola has been the No. 1 seed and had hosting duties (excluding 2020), Army reaches the semifinal after missing it last season. Navy reaches the semifinal round for the fourth straight season, while Holy Cross reaches the semifinal for the second straight season. 
 
In their earlier matchup, Loyola defeated Holy Cross 20-10 in Baltimore on April 19. Army West Point defeated Navy 17-12 on April 12 in West Point. 
 
Loyola enters the Patriot League Semifinals after wining five of six major awards, as Georgia Latch won Patriot League Attacker of the Year, Chase Boyle won Midfielder of the Year, Lily Osborne won Defensive Player of the Year, Lauren Spence won Goalkeeper of the Year, and Jen Adams won Coach of the Year. 
 
Latch and Boyle have climbed the Loyola record books this season, as Latch now ranks second in program history in assists (181) and points (371). She now only trails Livy Rosenzweig in career assists and points in program history. Latch has also set career-bests in assists (59) and points (104) this season.
 
Boyle broke the program record in goals (230) and draw controls (456) in the season finale at Bucknell, as she now has 64 goals and 185 draw controls on the season. Also leads the Greyhounds top-ranked draw control unit. 
 
No. 1 Loyola will take on No. 4 Holy Cross in the first game of the semifinal at 3:00 PM, while No. 2 Army West Point will face No. 3 Navy at 7:00 PM on Thursday. Both games will be broadcast on ESPN+. 
 
The winners will play in the Championship game on Saturday at 2:30 PM and will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network.
