Opening Draw
  • Loyola begins postseason play on Thursday as they will face Holy Cross in the Patriot League Semifinals.  
  • This will be the 12th game in matchup history, as Loyola has won each matchup in series history. The Greyhounds have held the Crusaders to single-digit goals in 8 of the 11 matchups.  
  • Since joining the Patriot League, Navy is the only Patriot League program to defeat the Greyhounds, as they did so in the 2017 and 2018 Patriot League Championship game and in the 2018 NCAA Tournament.     
  • Georgia Latch is coming off of a nine-point game at Bucknell, as she has scored at least seven points in each of the last four games and in five of her last six games.
  • Chase Boyle broke the Patriot League and Loyola single-game draw control record with 22 draws against Boston. 
  • Jen Adams is back for her 17th season at the helm of the Greyhounds, as they have compiled a 67-13 record since the beginning of the 2022 season, which includes five NCAA Tournament wins.

Patriot League Honors
  • The Greyhounds were picked to repeated as Patriot League Regular Season Champions, as Loyola has won a NCAA Division I record 93 straight regular season conference games.
  • Loyola won five of the six major awards, as Georgia Latch (Attack), Chase Boyle (Midfield), Lily Osborne (Defensvie Player) and Lauren Spence (Goalkeeper) each won their position's player of the year, while Head Coach Jen Adams was named the Coach of the Year for the sixth time.
  • Elisa Faklaris joined them on the First team, while Ellie Rinehart and Mim Suares-Jury were both named to the All-Patriot League Second Team. 

Greyhounds at Home
  • The Greyhounds have thrived at home, as they have posted a 63-4 record at home since the beginning of the 2019 season.
  • They have gone undefeated at home in 2019, 2022, and 2024. 
  • In Jen Adams tenure, the Greyhounds have gone 106-28 at home.

More on Spence
  • Lauren Spence has started each game over the past three seasons in goal for the Greyhounds. 
  • In her career, she has posted a 8.43 goals against average, a .486 save percentage, and 443 career saves. 
  • She has also posted a 49-10 record over the past three seasons.
  • Spence has recorded double-digit saves in six games this season, which included a streak of six of seven games with double-digit saves.
  • She had a career-best 14 saves, while tying a career-best six ground balls, and three caused turnovers in the 16-6 win over Army on March 15.

Scouting Holy Cross
  • Holy Cross comes into the matchup with a 10-7 (5-4) record on the season and are coming off of a 19-13 win over Colgate in the Patriot League Quarterfinal.
  • Despite losing four of their last five games to close out the regular season, Holy Cross has won each of their last two games, including the regular season finale at Boston, 18-12. 
  • Isabela Miller, Sally Zinsner, Ella Kittredge, and Racheli Levy-Smith were each named to First Team All-Patriot League this season. 
  • Miller leads the team in assists (52) and points (84) on the season, while Zinsner leads the team with 51 goals. Kittredge is second on the team in goals (46) on the season. 
  • Levy-Smith leads the team from the circle, as she has 167 draws on the season. 
  • In goal, Mackenzie Creagh has started in 15 games this season, posting a .466 save percentage, 131 saves, and a 10.89 goals against average. 
  • In their first meeting this season, Loyola won at home, 20-10.  

Record Tracking
  • Chase Boyle comes off of a 2024 season where she broke the single-season program record for goals (85) and draw controls (208)
  • Boyle also broke the Patriot League draw control record, that was set by Jillian Wilson's (198), in 2023. 
  • In the regular season finale, Boyle broke the program record for goals and draw controls, as she now sits at 230 goals and 456 draw controls. 
  • Georgia Latch now sits at second in program history in assists, with 181, trailing only Livy Rosenzweig, who finished with 230. She also now sits in second in career points, trailing only Rosenzweig in career points. She also sits in third in Patriot League history with 371 career points, as she is five points shy of Navy's Kelly Larkin ('17-'20).  

Dominance From The Circle
  • The Greyhounds rank first in draws per game (21.7) and first in draw control percentage (71.4%) in Division I.
  • Loyola is coming off a big game on the cirlce, as Loyola won 33 draws against Boston, including 22 from Boyle, which broke the Patriot League and Loyola single-game record..
  • Chase Boyle ranks 6th in the country in draw controls per game, as she has led the Greyhounds on the draw this season.
  • Boyle has more draws than the Greyhounds opponents this season, as she has 185 draws this season, compared to 137 draws by opposing teams.  
  • Loyola's 71.4% on draw controls would be the best percentage in Division I since draw percentage was tracked starting in 2018-19, while their 21.7 draws per game would be the most in a full season since draws became a stat in 1999 (excluding the 2020 shortened season).
  • Boyle follows in the footsteps of Taryn and Taylor VanThof, Livy Rosenzweig, and Jillian Wilson, who have set a history of excellence at the draw since 2011.   
  • The Greyhounds have relied on a next women up in the circle and have had success with it, in large part due to assistant coach Dana Dobbie, who coaches the draw and is a big reason to their success.

Season So Far
  • Chase Boyle and Georgia Latch picked up where they left off in 2024, as they are both averaging at least four points per game, led by Latch who is averaging 6.1 points per game, which ranks 4th in the country.
  • Through 17 games, Elisa Faklaris has posted a career-best 45 goals and ranks second in the country with a .652 shooting percentage. Transfer Ava Kane has also posted a career-best 24 goals so far. 
  • Emma Talago and Gabby Stapleton have also stepped into the starting lineup and have posted career-bests so far, as they have 35 points each this season.
  • Mim Suares-Jury has played a key role on both sides of the field in her first season, ranking fourth in goals, third in ground balls, and third in caused turnovers on the team. She also scored the game-winner in overtime against Navy.
  • Cydney Lisk has returned from injury to play a key role on the back-line along Lily Osborne and Ellie Rinehart through 17 games.

Pro Hounds
  • Sydni Black ('24), Jillian Wilson ('23), and Kady Glynn ('19) were all named to the inaugural Women's Lacrosse League (WLL) rosters.
  • Molly Wolff ('16) was named as an assistant coach for the New York Charging. 
  • Black and Wilson we be teammates once again for the Maryland Charm, while Glynn will be on the Boston Guard.

By The Numbers
  • Over the last five seasons, the Greyhounds are 56-0 when scoring at least 15 goals. 
  • They are also 19-14 over the past five seasons when they have allowed double-digit goals.
  • The Greyhounds have won the draw control battle in each game this season, as they have only lost the draw control battle in 13 games over the past five seasons, while in five of those games Loyola tied in draws. 
  • Since the 2021 season, the Greyhounds have gone 24-1 in the month of April, with the lone loss coming to Penn last season.

Greyhounds on the World Stage
  • Loyola had five representatives at the Asia-Pacific Women's Lacrosse Championship World Qualifiers at Sunshine Coast, Australia on January 6.  
  • Georgia Latch and Mim Suares-Jury represented Austrailia, while Lauren Lam represented China. Alumni Alanna Wray (Chinese Taipei) and Daryl Coss (Phillipeans) were also represented.  
  • Lauren Spence and Holly Lloyd ('21) were both invited to Lacrosse Canada 6's traning camp. 
  • Chase Boyle (United States), Lauren Perfetto (Italy), and Mechi O'Neil (Argentina) were all invited to their respective countries training camps. 
  • Head Coach Jen Adams served as an Assistant Coach for Austrailia, alongside Stacey Morlang ('02).
  • Kennedy Buntrock has also had time with Englands' U20 team. 

Tewaaraton Award Top-25
  • Chase Boyle has been named to the Tewaaraton Award Top-25 finalist for the second straight season. 
  • After being named as a Finalist in 2024, Boyle has followed it up with another big season, as she is one of seven midfielders named as a Top-25 finalist. 
  • Boyle is the only player to be ranked in the Top-10 nationally in goals (64) and draws (185). 

Nationally Ranked
  • Loyola enters the week ranked No. 15 in the IWLCA poll, No. 15 in the ILWomen Media Poll and No. 16 in the USA Lacrosse Magazine Poll.  
  • The Greyhounds boast one of the toughest schedules in the country, as they have eight opponents ranked IWLCA Poll, including three in the top-ten (Boston College #2, Florida #4, Princeton #5, Johns Hopkins #8, Penn #12, Syracuse #18, Army #19, Navy #21).
