Baltimore – The Loyola University Maryland women's lacrosse team scored three goals in the first two and a half minutes of the game, as they scored 12 first half goals on the way to a 21-8 win over fourth-seeded Holy Cross in the Patriot League Semifinals.
Chase Boyle finished with seven goals on the day, while
Georgia Latch had four goals and five assists for nine points on the afternoon.
Elisa Faklaris scored four goals to go along with a assist, while
Mim Suares-Jury recorded a career-best three assists to go along with one goal.
Boyle scored the opening goal for the Greyhounds (13-5 overall, 9-0 Patriot League) just 21 seconds in, as Loyola took the early 1-0 lead.
Elisa Faklaris scored her first of the game just over a minute later, while Boyle scored her second goal with 12:36 remaining in the first quarter, as Loyola led 3-0.
Holy Cross scored with 8:25 left in the first quarter, but Loyola responded with a 9-0 run that stretched late into the second quarter, as the Greyhounds led 12-1 with 4:52 remaining. During the run, six different players scored a goal, Latch and Boyle each had two goals during the run.
The Crusaders (10-8 overall, 5-4 Patriot League) responded with a 4-0 run that stretched from late in the second quarter into the third quarter, but Loyola's offense was firing on all cylinders, as the Greyhounds outscored the Crusaders 9-3 over the final 26 minutes of game time for the 21-8 win.

Ava Kane, and
Caroline Gerosa added a goal each, while
Gabby Stapleton had two goals in the win.
Loyola controlled the draw circle once again, as the held the edge 20-11. Boyle led the team with 12 draws in the game, while Latch and Osborne had three draws each.
Lauren Spence had seven saves in goal for Loyola.
Holy Cross had eight different goal scorers in the win, as Ella Kittredge led the team with one goal and one assist.
Loyola advances to their 11
th straight Patriot League Championship game, and will face the winner of Army vs Navy on Saturday at 2:30 PM.
