Baltimore -- The Loyola University Maryland women's lacrosse team has announced the signing of transfer Dacia Cordingley, announced Head Coach
Jen Adams on Thursday.
Cordingley transfers to the Evergreen Campus following one season at the University of Massachusetts.

Jen Adams. "She brings a fierce work ethic and combination of tenacity and grit to our midfield. Her Canadian box and field background gives her a unique edge, and we're excited to see her style blend into the fast, dynamic way we love to play."
Dacia did not play during her freshman season at UMass. Prior to her lone season with the Minutemen, she had experience playing with Team Canada, winning the silver medal during the inaugural Women's World Lacrosse Box Championships in 2024. She also won silver for Team Canada at the 2024 World Lacrosse Women's U20 Championships. She played along side both

Cordingley, who is from Orangeville, Ontario, attended The Hill Academy where she was named the Team Most Valuable Player and captain her senior season. Her father, Troy, is the head coach of the National Lacrusse League's Vancouver Warriors and is one of five NLL coaches with 100 or more career victories. He played nine NLL seasons, finishing his career with 128 goals and 312 points. Her mother, Darlah, played basketball at Lakehead University.
She has three siblings,Aurora, Bryce, and Cade. Her sister, Aurora, played at Maryland and Johns Hopkins before recently playing with the Maryland Charm of the WLL. Her brother, Bryce, played lacrosse at North Greenville, while her other brother, Cade, played lacrosse at Hobart.
"Being able to have the opportunity to transfer to Loyola has been the most reassuring next step for me" said Cordingley. "Their high level of competition meets a truly welcoming team culture. Having the opportunity to also work and learn from some of the best coaches in the game solidified my decision. Becoming a Greyhound is where I know I can grow and step into a higher standard of play!"
