ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Loyola University Maryland's Dennis McNamara took fifth in the men's race to lead the Greyhounds at Navy's Cantello Invitational Saturday.
 
McNamara finished the 4.9-mile course in 25:30.4, moving up four spots over the race's last 2.7 miles for his top-five finish.
 
He led a Greyhounds contingent on the men's side that would see three finishing in the top 25. Mikey Byrnes was 22^nd (26:37.9), and Christian Zawislack was three spots back in 25^th (26:48.6).
 
Andrew Robinson finished 30^th in the race with a time of 27:16.8, and a trio of Greyhounds – Nate Tibbetts (40^th, 28:16.5), Billy Malone (41^st, 28:20.8) and Logan Eagles (42^nd, 28:32.3) – finished in a row.
 
Kayla Hayes was the top finisher on the women's side for Loyola, taking 15^th in the 6,000-meter race in 23:44.5.
 
Norah Affanato ran 24:07.4 for 25^th, and a pack of Greyhounds came in between 37^th and 44^th: Selah Decatur (37^th, 25:01.5), Maddie Hyde (39^th, 25:23.3), Meghan Leonard (40th, 25:31.5), Abbey Arseneau (41^st, 25:34.4), Talia Banafato (42^nd, 25:45.7), Mackenzie Newman (43^rd, 25:51.6) and Kat Zysk (44^th, 26:05.0).
 
Three Greyhounds ran the Open 5K race at the meet. Alaina Bromley was 17^th in the women's portion (22:59.6), while Stella Mische and Sarah Teed took 19^th and 21^st, respectively, in 23:25.5 and 23:33.6. Cal Lipkin took 15^th in the men's version in 17:56.4.
