ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Loyola University Maryland's
Dennis McNamara took fifth in the men's race to lead the Greyhounds at Navy's Cantello Invitational Saturday.
McNamara finished the 4.9-mile course in 25:30.4, moving up four spots over the race's last 2.7 miles for his top-five finish.
He led a Greyhounds contingent on the men's side that would see three finishin the top 25.
Mikey Byrnes was 22
nd (26:37.9), and
Christian Zawislack was three spots back in 25
th (26:48.6).
Andrew Robinson finished 30
th in the race with a time of 27:16.8, and a trio of Greyhounds –
Nate Tibbetts (40
th, 28:16.5),
Billy Malone (41
st, 28:20.8) and
Logan Eagles (42
nd, 28:32.3) – finished in a row.
Kayla Hayes was the top finisher on the women's side for Loyola, taking 15
th in the 6,000-meter race in 23:44.5.
Norah Affanato ran 24:07.4 for 25
th, and a pack of Greyhounds came in between 37
th and 44
