The Matchup
  • The Greyhounds will travel to face Colgate on Wednesday morning as a part of a two-game road trip this week. 
  • This will be the 23rd meeting between the two programs, with the Raiders holding the edge with a 14-8 record over Loyola.

  • Loyola features an experienced squad this year, as Loyola features nine upperclassmen on the roster, combining to play over 500 career games.  
  • The Greyhounds will face all but two Division I teams in the state of Maryland this season, starting with #10 Maryland.

Non-Conference Recap
  • Non-conference play opened with No. 10 Maryland, where they fell 80-26.
  • Loyola then hosted La Salle for their home opener, but fell 71-59. Loyola began a two-game trip where they lost to Virginia Tech 64-48, before losing to Radord 59-50.
  • The Greyhounds remained on the road to take on Drexel in Philadelphia, where they fell 66-57, before returning home to face Mount St. Mary's, losing 69-50.
  • Loyola then traveled to Yale on November 23, winning 73-48. They headed into Thanksgiving with a home matchup against Delaware, losing 67-55.
  • The Greyhounds wrap up non-conference play with a trio of local opponents: earning comeback wins over Towson, UMBC, and Morgan State to close out non-conference play.

Scouting Colgate
  • Colgate comes into the game with a 5-10 (1-3) record on the season, as they are coming off of a 64-45 loss to Lehigh on Saturday afternoon. 
  • Colgate is averaging 55.5 points per game on 36.0 percent shooting, while allowing 67.9 points on 41.7 percent shooting this season. 
  • Ella Meabon leads the team in scoring, averaging 15.1 points per game, while Anne Bair is averaging 13.0 points per game. 
  • Madison Schiller leads the team in rebounding this season, averaging 6.2 per game. 
  • Entering the season, Colgate was picked to finish in sixth place in the Patriot League Preseason poll. 

Building Momentum
  • After a tough start to the season, the Greyhounds have won six of their last nine games. 
  • Loyola has begun to find more consistency on the offensive end, as they have shot 40 percent or better from the field in eight of their last 12 games. 
  • In their win over Towson, the Greyhounds tallied a season-best 17 offensive rebounds, 50 total rebounds, a .857 free throw percentage (18-21), and their first overtime win of the season.
  • Lex Therien has scored at least 20 points in seven of her last ten games games for the Greyhounds.

  • In six career games against the Raiders, Lex Therien is averaging 20.8 points and 11.5 rebounds, including four double-doubles in those six games.
  • Therien is averaging a career-best 17.3 points per game this season, while shooting 53.8 percent from the field and a career-best 73.8 percent from the foul line.
