The Matchup
  • The Greyhounds will return to Reitz Arena on Wednesday evening, as they will host Lehigh University. 
  • This will be the 27th meeting between the two programs, with Lehigh leading the series 17-9, including winning both games last season. Before last season, Loyola was riding a three-game win streak in the series.  

Quick Hits 
  • Loyola features an experienced squad this year, as Loyola features nine upperclassmen on the roster, combining to play over 500 career games.  
  • The Greyhounds will face all but two Division I teams in the state of Maryland this season, starting with #10 Maryland.
  • The Greyhounds have won seven of their last nine games, as the Greyhounds look for their second four-game win streak of the season.    

Non-Conference Recap
  • Non-conference play opened with No. 10 Maryland, where they fell 80-26.
  • Loyola then hosted La Salle for their home opener, but fell 71-59. Loyola began a two-game trip where they lost to Virginia Tech 64-48, before losing to Radord 59-50.
  • The Greyhounds remained on the road to take on Drexel in Philadelphia, where they fell 66-57, before returning home to face Mount St. Mary's, losing 69-50.
  • Loyola then traveled to Yale on November 23, winning 73-48. They headed into Thanksgiving with a home matchup against Delaware, losing 67-55.
  • The Greyhounds wrap up non-conference play with a trio of local opponents: earning comeback wins over Towson, UMBC, and Morgan State to close out non-conference play.

Scouting Lehigh
  • Lehigh comes into the game with a 8-8 (4-2) record on the seaosn. Due to health issues, they had to forfeit their game against Navy on Saturday afternoon. 
  • The Mountain Hawks are averaging 66.2 points per game on 42.0 percent shooting, while allowing 68.2 points on 44.7 percent shooting. 
  • Lily Fandre is one of five players averaging double figures, as she is averaging 15.1 points per game. Leia Edwards (13.4 ppg), Whitney Lind (13.1 ppg), Jessie Ozzauto (12.5 ppg), and Belle Bramer (11.4 ppg) all are averaging double figures, but Edwards has not played since January 7. 

Building Momentum
  • After a tough start to the season, the Greyhounds have won eight of their last eleven games. 
  • Loyola has begun to find more consistency on the offensive end, as they have shot 40 percent or better from the field in nine of their last 14 games. 
  • In their win over Towson, the Greyhounds tallied a season-best 17 offensive rebounds, 50 total rebounds, a .857 free throw percentage (18-21), and their first overtime win of the season.
  • Lex Therien has scored at least 20 points in eight of her last twelve games games for the Greyhounds.

More On Therien
  • In seven career games against the Terriers, Lex Therien is averaging 21.8 points and 12.8 rebounds, including six double-doubles in those seven games. In her last two games against Lehigh, she broke the Loyola and Patriot League record in made field goals (21) and rebounds (23), while also breaking the Loyola single-game scoring record (44).
  • Therien is averaging a career-best 17.0 points per game this season, while shooting 53.2 percent from the field and a career-best 72.7 percent from the foul line. 
  • Therien has continued to climb the record books this season, as she is just 49 rebounds away from breaking the Patriot League record and is 55 rebounds away from breaking the Loyola rebounds record. 
  • Therien also now ranks second in career points at Loyola, while climbing the Patriot League ranks. She is 74 points away from breaking into the top-10 in career points. 
  • She will become just the fifth player to rank in the top-10 in both points and rebounds in Patriot League history.

  • So far this season, the Greyhounds are 5-0 in games decided by three points or less and 7-3 in games decided by single digits. 
  • When scoring at least 60 points, the Greyhounds are 5-1 this season, they were 7-2 when scoring over 60 points last season. Dating back to the start of the 2023–24 season, Loyola is 23–5 when scoring at least 60 points.
