The Matchup
  • The Greyhounds will be back on the road on Wednesday evening, as they travel to face American at 6:00 PM. 
  • This will be the 38th meeting between the two programs, with American holding a 27-10 edge in the series. Loyola, however, has won four of the last five meetings.

Last Matchup
  • Loyola won the first matchup this season between the two programs, winning 68-59 in Reitz Arena.

  • American enters this matchup with a 5-14 (3-5) record on the season, as they are coming off of a 70-58 loss to Holy Cross on Saturday. 
  • As a team, the Eagles are averaging 55.6 points on 35.9 percent shooting, while allowing 65.0 points on 42.6 percent shooting this season. 
  • Molly Driscoll leads the team in sscoring, averagign 12.3 points per game, while Charlotte Tuhy is second with 11.5 points per game. Madisyn Moore-Nicholson is also averaging double-figures with 10.9 points per game. 
  • Tuhy leads the Patriot League in rebounds per game, averaging 10.8 rebounds per game. Tuhy has also been named Patriot League Rookie of the Week three times this week. 

Building Momentum
  • After a tough start to the season, the Greyhounds have won eight of their last 13 games. 
  • Loyola has begun to find more consistency on the offensive end, as they have shot 40 percent or better from the field in 10 of their last 15 games. 
  • In their win over Towson, the Greyhounds tallied a season-best 17 offensive rebounds, 50 total rebounds, a .857 free throw percentage (18-21), and their first overtime win of the season.
  • Lex Therien has scored at least 20 points in eight of her last 14 games games for the Greyhounds.

  • In seven career games against the Eagles, Lex Therien is averaging 16.7 points and 10.8 rebounds, including five double-doubles in those seven games. In the matchup earlier this season, Therien had 21 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 assists.
