The Matchup
  • The Greyhounds will welcome Army West Point to Reitz Arena for their first home game of 2026. 
  • This will be the 30th meeting between the two programs, as the Black Knights lead the series 20-9, including winning both games last season.

  • Loyola features an experienced squad this year, as Loyola features nine upperclassmen on the roster, combining to play over 500 career games.  
  • The Greyhounds will face all but two Division I teams in the state of Maryland this season, starting with #10 Maryland.

Non-Conference Recap
  • Non-conference play opened with No. 10 Maryland, where they fell 80-26.
  • Loyola then hosted La Salle for their home opener, but fell 71-59. Loyola began a two-game trip where they lost to Virginia Tech 64-48, before losing to Radord 59-50.
  • The Greyhounds remained on the road to take on Drexel in Philadelphia, where they fell 66-57, before returning home to face Mount St. Mary's, losing 69-50.
  • Loyola then traveled to Yale on November 23, winning 73-48. They headed into Thanksgiving with a home matchup against Delaware, losing 67-55.
  • The Greyhounds wrap up non-conference play with a trio of local opponents: earning comeback wins over Towson, UMBC, and Morgan State to close out non-conference play.

Scouting Army West Point
  • Army West Point comes into the matchup with a 10-3 (1-1) record on the season, as they are coming off of a 81-49 win over Colgate on Saturday. 
  • The Black Knights lost their Patriot League opener to Lehigh, 77-66 in West Point. 
  • Army is averaging 69.2 points on 44.5 percent shooting this season, while allowing 57.6 points on 41.1 percent shooting. 
  • Four players are averaging double-figures, led by Kya Smith with 15.8 points per game. Taylor Wilson (12.0), Camryn Tade (10.8), and Reese Ericson (10.7) are all each averaging double figures. 
  • Ericson leads the team in made three-pointers, with 38 this season on 40.0 percent shooting. 
  • In the Patriot League Preseason Poll, Army was picked to finish in second, one spot above Loyola and below Navy.

Building Momentum
  • After a tough start to the season, the Greyhounds have won five of their last seven games. 
  • Loyola has begun to find more consistency on the offensive end, as they have shot 40 percent or better from the field in seven of their last ten games. 
  • In their win over Towson, the Greyhounds tallied a season-best 17 offensive rebounds, 50 total rebounds, a .857 free throw percentage (18-21), and their first overtime win of the season.
  • Lex Therien has scored at least 20 points in six of her last eight games games for the Greyhounds.

  • In seven career games against the Leopards, Lex Therien is averaging 14.8 points and 14.1 rebounds, including five double-doubles in those seven games. Therienhas recotded four games with 15 or more rebounds, including two games with 20+ rebounds against the Leopards.
  • Therien entered this season ranked seventh in career points (1,361), second in field goals made (569), and fifth in total rebounds (1,006), while holding the program record for rebounds per game (10.8). She also owns three of the top five single-season rebounding marks in program history.
  • In the Greyhounds win over Yale, Therien recorded her 50th career double-double, which leads all active Divison I players this season.
