The Matchup
  • The Greyhounds will hit the road this weekend to continue Patriot League play, as they travel to face Lafayette. 
  • This will be the 18th meeting in the series history, as Loyola holds an edge, 8-6-3, in the series. 
  • The Leopards have had success in recent history, as they won the last three games, including a win in double overtime in the Patriot League Semifinals in 2023.

Key Newcomers
  • Loyola has a influx of newcomers this season, which includes 12 freshman and two transfers.
  • Of the 12 freshman, nine of them have recorded at least one start, including Lukas Cortes and Jeremiah McGuire, who have started in all 12 games this season. Cortes leads the team with four assists this season. 
  • Felix Huebner has seven starts in goal this season, recording 32 saves and a 1.51 GAA. Huebner recorded a season-best seven saves against NJIT, while also recorded five saves in one half against Syracuse. 
  • Nino Venezia has two goals this season, which is second on the team. 
  • Transfer junior Edwin Espinal-Elvir ranks third on the team with five points, while ranking second on the team with three assists. 
  • Five of the Greyhounds eleven goals this season have come from newcomers. 

Scouting Lafayette
  • Lafayette enters the matchup with a 2-6-3 (1-1-2) record on the season, as they are coming off of a1-0 loss to Temple on Tuesday. 
  • They also are coming off of a 1-0 win at Army on October 3rd. 
  • Lucas Gardeniers leads the team with two goals this season, while Griffin Feather leads the team with two assists on the year. 
  • The Leopards have only scored six goals this season. 
  • In goal, Harrison Wolfrom has started in eight games, tallying 39 saves, a 1.53 GAA, and a .765 save percentage. Marco Brok has started in two games, while Francisco Benbow has started in one game, as the pair of both played in 143 minutes this season. 
  • Entering the season, the Leopards were picked to finish in fifth place, earning 44 points in the poll and one first place vote. Cade Maglione was also named to the Preseason All-Patriot League Team.

  • The Greyhounds are 52-22-18 in the Patriot League since the beginning of the 2016 season. 
  • In 2022, the Greyhounds set a program-high with 8 ties on the season.

Non-Conference Play
  • Over the past five seasons (excluding the 2020 season), the Greyhounds are 15-29-18 in non-conference play. 
  • Loyola has played all of their non-conference foes at least once before, as they will play local foes UMBC and Mount St. Mary's this season. This is the first matchup against UMBC since the 2015 season, as Loyola holds a 20-4-3 record in the series.
  • This will also be the first matchup against Mount St. Mary's since the 2019 season, as they own a 25-4-1 record in the series, winning each of the last 20 matchups. 
  • During the 2025 season, the Greyhounds went 1-5-1 in non-conference play.
