The Matchup
  • The Greyhounds are set to travel to face Holy Cross on Saturday afternoon for thier first matchup of the season.
  • This will be the 24th matchup between the two programs and the first matchup this season. The Crusaders hold a 16-7 edge, as they have won the last three meetings and 12 of the last 13 games.

  • Loyola features an experienced squad this year, as Loyola features nine upperclassmen on the roster, combining to play over 500 career games.

Last Time Out
  • Loyola picked up a 65-58 win at home over Lafayette on Wednesday evening. 
  • The Greyhounds started out the game strong on the offensvie end, as they scored 18 points in the opening quarter, as they shot 47% from the field and hit three three-pointers. 
  • Lafayette was able to stiffle the hot shooting in the second quarter, holding Loyola to 10 points, as Lafayette lead 29-28 at half. 
  • Loyola's shooting came alive again in the third, scoring 21 points in the quarter to pull ahead entering the fourth, where they continued to shoot well to hang on for the home win. 
  • Lex Therien finished with 16 points and 8 rebounds, while Amandine Amorich had 14 points off the bench. Sydney Basss added 12 points, as Loyola grabbed 18 offensive rebounds.

Scouting Holy Cross
  • Holy Cross comes into the matchup with a 15-9 (9-4) record on the season as they are coming off of a 75-64 win over Colgate on Wednesday.
  • On the season, the Crusaders are averaging 60.7 points per game on 40.6 percent shooting, while allowing 59.4 points on 38.3 percent shooting. 
  • Meg Cahalan leads the team in scoring, averaging 15.1 points per game. Kaitlyn Flanagan is averaging 9.5 points and 3.8 assists, as her assists rank second in the Patriot League.
  • Simone Foreman is averaging 8.5 points and 7.6 rebounds on the season.
  • Entering Saturday, Holy Cross is tied for third in the Patriot League with Lehigh, as Loyola sits two games back in fifth place. 
  • The Crusaders have games against Lafayette, Bucknell, and Boston remaining, other than the two meetings against Loyola.

  • After a slow start to the season, the Greyhounds have won 11 of their last 18 games. 
  • Loyola has begun to find more consistency on the offensive end, as they have shot 40 percent or better from the field in 15 of their last 20 games. 
  • Lex Therien has scored at least 20 points in nine games this season, including a stretch of four straight games.
