The Matchup
  • The Greyhounds are set to travel to face Army West Point on Wednesday evening in a crucial Patriot League matchup. 
  • This will be the 31st matchup in series history, with the Black Knights holding a 21-9 edge. Army won the first matchup this season, despite Loyola outscoring them by 10 points in the second half.

Last Time Out

Scouting Army
  • Army is coming into the matchup with a 20-5 (11-3) record on the season, as they are coming off of a 86-56 win over American on Saturday.
  • The Black Knights currently sit in the No. 2 seed in the Patriot League standings, as they have secured a First-Round Bye and a Quarterfinal home game. 
  • Army is averaging 66.2 points per game on 42.2 percent shooting, while allowing 56.0 points on 41.9 percent shooting this season. 
  • Kya Smith and Camryn Tade are tied for the team lead in points per game, averaging 13.5 points per game. Reese Ericson is third on the team with 11.5 points per game. 
  • Ericson leads the Patriot League in made three-pointers (78) and three-point percentage (42.9%).  

Building Momentum
  • After a slow start to the season, the Greyhounds have won 11 of their last 19 games. 
  • Loyola has begun to find more consistency on the offensive end, as they have shot 40 percent or better from the field in 15 of their last 21 games. 
  • Lex Therien has scored at least 20 points in nine games this season, including a stretch of four straight games.

  • In eight career games against Holy Cross, Lex Therien is averaging 14.9 points and 14.0 rebounds per game, including six double-doubles.
