The Matchup
  • The Greyhounds will host the Holy Cross on Saturday afternoon in the Greyhounds home finale and senior day. 
  • This is the 25th meeting between the two programs, as the Crusaders hold a 17-7 edge in the series, including each of the last four games.

  • Loyola features an experienced squad this year, as Loyola features nine upperclassmen on the roster, combining to play over 500 career games.  
  • The Greyhounds will face all but two Division I teams in the state of Maryland this season, starting with #10 Maryland.

Last Time Out
  • In the first matchup, the Crusaders used a strong first quarter to take a early 16-5 lead.
  • Loyola responded over the next two quarters, as they cut their deficit down to three points, as they trailed 30-27 entering the fourth quarter. 
  • The Greyhounds couldn't complete the comeback however, as the Crusaders outscored them 19-13 in the final quarter, as they used a 12-0 run to retake the lead, as they would hold on for the 49-40 win.
  • Amandine Amorich led Loyola with 12 points in the game, while Olivia Shaughnessy, Lex Therien, and Gabby Betton each had 7 points in the game. 
  • Amorich and Shaughnessy each recorded three steals in the game, as they forced 18 Holy Cross turnovers. 

Scouting Holy Cross
  • Holy Cross comes into the matchup with a 18-9 (12-4) record on the season and are coming off of a win over Bucknell on Saturday. 
  • The Crusaders are riding a four-game winning streak, as they currently sit in second place in the Patriot League, as they are tied with Army with two games remaining. 
  • Holy Cross is averaging 60.1 points per game on 40.5 percent shooting this season, while allowing 57.4 points on 37.5 percent shooting. 
  • They are led by Meg Cahalan who is averaging 15.2 points per game this season. 
  • In the first matchup, Cahalan had 20 points and Simone Foreman had 10 points in the win.

  • After a slow start to the season, the Greyhounds have won 12 of their last 21 games. 
  • Loyola has begun to find more consistency on the offensive end, as they have shot 40 percent or better from the field in 16 of their last 22 games.
