Roman A Shot Back After First Day At Worthington Manor

URBANA, Md. – Jackson Roman shot 2-under 70 on Saturday to finish the first round of the Carpetbagger Classic one shot out of the lead.
 
Roman is one of four Loyola University Maryland players competing as individuals in the event at Worthington Manor Golf Club.
 
Roman had three birdies on the course's back nine, finishing with his fifth of the day on the par-5 18th hole.
 
His 2-under is tied for second and one back of leader Force Kosalutta from Mount St. Mary's.
 
Dustin Stocksdale is tied for 18th after shooting 2-over 74, and Lorenzo Sanz is a shot back and tied for 36th. Matt Carpentier is tied for 67th following a 7-over 79 on Saturday.
 
The 36-hole tournament will wrap up on Sunday with the final 18 holes.
