Jackson Roman had a bogey-free final round on Sunday, making five birdies in the process to shoot 5-under 67 for a one-shot victory at Worthington Manor Golf Club to win the Carpetbagger Classic.
Four Greyhounds played as individuals at the 36-hole collegiate event.
Roman entered the day a shot off the leader after a first-round 2-under 70 on Saturday. He tied for the individual lead with a birdie on his second hole of the day, the 525-yard, par-5 18th at Worthington Manor.
When Mount St. Mary's Force Kosalutta, the round-one leader, bogeyed his fourth hole of the day, Roman was a top the leaderboard. He took a two-shot lead with a birdie on the par-4 third and expanded it from there.
Roman birdied the sixth, 11th and 13th holes to pull away for the victory.
Lorenzo Sanz shot 3-under 69 on Sunday to get to even for the tournament and tie for ninth.
Dustin Stocksdale shot 73 and finished tied for 21st, while
Matt Carpentier had a final-round even-par 72 and tied for 46th.
