Bethlehem, PA -- The Patriot League announced their end of year awards and All-Patriot League teams on Monday afternoon, as the Loyola University Maryland women's lacrosse team had six players named.
Mae Murphy was named Rookie of the Year while also being named First Team All-Patriot League. She was joined by
Morgan Quade and
Mim Suares-Jury on the first team, while
Lauren Perfetto,
Elisa Faklaris, and
Cydney Lisk were each named to the second team.
Murphy earned the Greyhounds first Rookie of the Year award since 2022, when
Georgia Latch won the award. Murphy leads all of Division I with 225 draw controls this season, as she has broken the Loyola single-season record and broke the most draws by a freshman in Division I, Patriot League, and Loyola history. Murphy has recorded double-digit draw controls in all but three games this season, including recording 15 or more draws in six games, which includes her season-best 19 draws against Colgate. Murphy has led the Greyhounds to be the top-ranked draw unit in the country, as they lead with a 68.3 draw percentage, while also leading with 17.5 draws per game. She also has seven ground balls and 11 caused turnovers on the season. Entering Thursday's game, she now sits 12 draws away from breaking the Patriot League single-season draws.
Quade earned her first All-Patriot League nod this year, as she joins Murphy on the first team. She leads the Greyhounds with 38 assists and 65 points on the season, while she ranks fourth in the Patriot League in assists and fifth in points. Quade has 13 games with at least three points this season, as she also has scored multiple goals in 10 games and recorded multiple assists in 11 games this season. Over her last seven games, Quade has four games with at least six points, including a career-high seven points against Bucknell. She has also been nearly automatic from the 8-meter, as she is 10-14 from the 8-meter this season. Quade has also added 19 ground balls and five caused turnovers on the season.
Suares-Jury earned her first nod on the first team after being named to the second team last season. She has stuffed the stat sheet this season, as she has 32 goals, 20 assists, 52 points, 22 ground balls, nine caused turnovers, and 48 draw controls this season. She ranks second on the team in goals, points, and draws this season, while ranking third on the team in ground balls. She has 12 games this season with at least three points, including five games with a hat-trick. She also has four games with multiple assists, including a career-best five against Boston. Suares-Jury also recorded a career-best 10 draws against Army this season. She also played a crucial piece in the Greyhounds transition game, as she has helped Loyola to a 89.6 clearing percentage.
Perfetto earned her first career All-Patriot League nod, as she has had a breakout season for the Greyhounds. Perfetto ranks second on the team and tied for sixth in the Patriot League in assists with 29 this season. She also has 22 goals and 51 points on the season. She has seven games with multiple assists this season and three hat-tricks this season, including a career-best five goals and seven points in the win over Lafayette. Perfetto has scored at least one point in every game this season, as she has also scored at least four points in six of the last nine games.
Faklaris earned her second All-Patriot League nod, after she was named to the First Team last season. She leads Loyola with 42 goals this season, while leading the Patriot League in shooting percentage (.560). Faklaris has scored seven hat-tricks this season, including in each of the last two games. She has also scored a goal in all but one game this season. Faklaris also has 13 ground balls and 8 caused turnovers on the season.
Lisk earned her first nod to the All-Patriot League second team this season. Lisk has been a crucial piece of the Greyhounds back line over the past four seasons, as she has captained the back line this season to the fourth ranked scoring defense in the Patriot League. Lisk has 15 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers on the season, while she also has played a crucial piece in the Greyhounds transition game, as they have a 89.6 clearing percentage.
