GALLOWAY, N.J. – Loyola University Maryland golf improved four shots in Monday's afternoon round at Galloway National Golf Club, and the Greyhounds are sixth after 36 holes at Villanova's Wildcat Invitational.
The Greyhounds shot 13-over 297 in the afternoon with
Eli Spaulding's 2-over 73 leading the way in the second round.
Diego Neira had the Greyhounds' best round of the day, shooting even-par 71 in the morning, and after a 6-over 77 in the second round, he is tied for eighth overall at the event.
Jackson Roman is tied for 21st following a second-round 3-over 74 to finish the day tied for 21st.
Jack Geyer and
Liam Moloney are two shots back of Roman overall at 10-over and tied for 33rd.
Spaulding bounced back from a morning 9-over 80 and is 40th individually.
Lorenzo Sanz is playing as an individual for the Greyhounds and is 13-over and in 47th place.
Play will resume Tuesday with a 9 a.m. shotgun start to begin the final 18 holes.
