2024 (Senior): DeSmit had another huge year for the Greyhounds, as she was named Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year, after scoring 16 goals and 5 assists for 37 points on the season ... The 16 goals rank second most in a single-season in program history, while her 37 points also ranks second in program history ... She led the Patriot League in shots, goals, game-winning goals, shots on goal, and points, while tying for sixth for assists ... DeSmit was also ranked the 19th best player in the country by TopDrawer Soccer ... DeSmit scored two goals in five games during the season, including a stretch of six straight games with a point .... DeSmit finished her career with 36 goals, 21 assists, and 93 points, which all rank second in program history.
2023 (Junior): DeSmit had a historic season for the Greyhounds, as the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year led the league in goals (10) and points (28) ... She started in all 17 games during the season, as she recorded three games with two goals on the season ... Recorded a point in seven straight games, started in the Greyhounds 3-0 win against Manhattan on August 31 and ending in the Greyhounds 4-0 win over Colgate on September 30 ... Finished the season towards the top of several single season program records, finishing first in assists per game (.47), tied for first in assists (8), second in points per game (1.65), tied for sixth in points (28), tied for sixth in goals per game (.588), and tied for 8th in most goals in a single-season (10).
2022 (Sophomore): Started all 18 games during the season, earning First Team All-Patriot League accolades... Lead the team with 19 points (6 goals, 7 assists)... Ranked first in the Patriot League in points (19), second in assists (7), second in goals (6), and second in shots on goal (26)... Scored three game-winning goals on the season against Rice (8/25), Howard (9/8), and Colgate (9/17)... Played all 90 minutes in five games during the season.
2021 (Freshman): Earned second team All-Patriot League accolades after finishing as Loyola’s leading goal scorer during her debut collegiate season … tied for the team lead with nine points (4 G, 1 A) overall on the year while also leading the team with 36 shots … appeared in all 18 games, earning starts in 16 of those contests … scored a memorable free kick goal for her first collegiate strike in a 5-1 win over Iona (8/29) … converted a penalty kick in the first half of a 2-0 win at Howard (9/9) … had the primary assist on Ada Clare Tempert’s overtime winner over Colgate (9/18) to begin Patriot League play … named Patriot League Midfielder of the Week after curling in the game’s only goal off a free kick in a key 1-0 win over Lehigh (10/16) … scored Loyola’s only goal in a 1-1 draw at Boston University (10/23) the following weekend.
