2010 (Sophomore): Started all 20 games as a central midfielder... Finished second on the team with four goals... Also had two assists for 10 points... Scored her first goal of the year against Creighton in the first game of the adidas/Husker Classic in Lincoln, Neb.... Tallied an assist against UMBC and then scored late in the second half versus Canisius... Scored again at Siena and then had a goal and an assist versus Iona... Took 36 shots, 18 on goal... Member of the MAAC All-Academic Team.

2009 (Freshman): Recorded two goals and an assist in 19 games for the Greyhounds as a freshman... Also started at midfield in seven games... Named the MAAC Championship Most Valuable Player after recording game-tying goals in the MAAC Semifinals against Canisius and the Championship Game versus Niagara... Also was successful in the fifth round of penalty kicks in the MAAC Quarterfinals against Manhattan... Played 93 minutes in her collegiate debut against Boston University... Made first collegiate start against Lafayette... Named to the VCU Tournament All-Tournament Team after recording a shot and playing solid all-around soccer... Tallied her first collegiate point with an assist at Iona.

High School: Earned four varsity letters in soccer at The McDonogh School in Owings Mills, Md... Received First Team All-America honors by the NSCAA/adidas following her senior season and was named to the ESPN/Rise Fall High School Girls' Soccer All-America Third Team... NSCAA Maryland State Player of the Year... Named the Co-Player of the Year in the area by Digital Sports... Earned All-Metro Honors and was named the Baltimore County Player of the Year by The Baltimore Sun following her junior and senior seasons... NSCAA All-State and All-South Region honors in each of those seasons, too... Received the `Passion To Play' Award from Digital Sports... Member of McDonogh's honor roll, dean's list and the National Honor Society... Played club for the Laurel Wildcats, helping them win the State Cup on two occasions.

Personal: Gianna Marie Mangione... Daughter of Nick and Danielle Mangione... Has three older siblings, Nick, Nino and Marco, and two younger siblings, Philip and Mia... A number of relatives were student-athletes at Loyola... Her father, Nick, is currently the men's soccer program's fourth all-time leading scorer and was a professional soccer player for the Baltimore Blast and the Kansas City Comets.
