• All-Patriot League Third Team (Spring 2021)
2021 (Graduate Student): Was one of six Greyhounds to start all 18 games, and logged 1,466 minutes to lead all field players … contributed to a defensive unit which led the Patriot League in goals-against average (1.01) and allowed just six goals during Loyola’s nine regular season conference games … helped the Greyhounds record seven clean sheets on the year, a total which ranked tied for second in the Patriot League … added an assist on the offensive end during Loyola’s 5-1 win over Iona (8/29) … aided a backline which surrendered just two goals over the last six regular season games, with Loyola going 4-0-2 during that span to secure a third-place finish in the Patriot League standings.
Spring 2021 (Senior): Earned third team All-Patriot League accolades after serving as a key contributor to a backline which allowed just three goals in six games on the year … recognized as the program’s Most Dedicated Player during the 2021 Iggy’s ceremony … was a starter in five of her six appearances, helping the Greyhounds post clean sheets over Bucknell (3/13), American (4/3) and Lehigh (4/9) … played every minute in 3 of 6 appearances … served as a co-captain with fellow senior Julia Gray.
2019 (Junior): Started the season’s first six games and appeared in all 19 contests overall for the Greyhounds … contributed to a backline which held opponents to one goal or fewer in each of the season’s final 12 games and recorded six shutouts overall on the year … Loyola’s defense ranked second in the Patriot League in both goals allowed (5) and goals-against average (0.56) during conference play … logged her second-career assist during 1-1 draw with Holy Cross (9/28) … selected as a team captain for the 2020 season.
2018 (Sophomore): Appeared in all 17 games for the Greyhounds, earning starts in 13 of those contests … tallied an assist off a corner kick on Hannah Hoefs’ game-winner against Army West Point (9/29) … contributed to a backline which recorded three shutouts and held opponents to one goal or fewer on 11 occasions.
2017 (Freshman): Played in all 17 games, starting the final 16 on defense, during her first collegiate season… Second on the team in field minutes played (1,506)… Scored a goal in her Loyola debut, redirecting a Julianna Cabrera corner kick for a goal against Mount St. Mary’s (8/18)… Helped the defense shutout Seton Hall (8/24) and UMBC (8/31) in overtime victories… Also was a part of 200 minutes of shutout soccer against Holy Cross (10/7) and Delaware State (10/9)… Named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
Before Loyola: Graduated from Monte Vista High School in Danville, California... Was a member of Monte Vista’s 2013-2014 team that was ranked No. 1 in the nation prior to winning the Northern California Section Championship… Helped the Mustangs win the 2014 and 2015 East Bay Athletic League (EBAL) titles and advance to the 2015 Northern California final… Through the start of her senior season, she has scored seven goals and recorded 13 assists… Had three goals and two assists as a freshman, two and four during her sophomore year and two and seven last season… Named to the All-EBAL second Team as a junior after earning honorable mention as a sophomore… Earned team Most Valuable Player laurels as a freshman… Played club soccer for Mustang Soccer 99 ECNL.
Personal: Daughter of Naomi and Nelson Rivas… Has three younger siblings, Noelle, Noah and Raquel… Has earned honor roll recognition all four years of high school… Volunteered at the Concord Child Care Center.
