2017 (Junior):
- Was the team’s No. 2 or 3 runner throughout the season
- Finished 69th at the Panorama Farms Invitational in 27:50.4
- Ran 27:00.0 to cross the line in 84th at the Paul Short Run
- Was the team’s second to finish at the Penn State National, running 29:15.0 to take 89th
- Placed 79th (27:19.9) at the Patriot League Championships and was 171st(34:53) at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional
2016 (Sophomore):
- Finished as the team's No. 2 or 3 runner throughout the season
- Was 36th at the Navy Invitational in 28:53.75
- Took 104th at the Panorama Farms Invitational in 28:45.51
- Was 83rd overall in 28:22.9 at the Patriot League Championships
- Placed 140th in 35.37 at the NCAA Regionals
About Buchholz:
- Alexander James Buchholz
- Named the Most Valuable Runner of the Maryland Independent School Athletic League (MISAL) as a senior in 2014
- Twice named Rockbridge Academy’s Most Valuable Runner
- Helped his team to a second-place finish in the MISAL and the same finish in the Maryland small schools division
- Earned All-Anne Arundel County First Team honors
- Was a worship team leader at his church and has also served as a leader in his youth group and InterVarsity
