AS A JUNIOR IN 2009: Ran in four meets for Loyola: Baltimore Metro Invitational (9/4), Paul Short Run (10/2) and Delaware Blue & Gold Meet (10/17)... Placed 119th at the MAAC Championships in 32:05.1.
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2008: Ran a 19:15 in the season-opening Baltimore Metro Invitational... Recorded a season-high 30:59.70 at the Princeton Invitational.
BEFORE LOYOLA: Received the most dedicated and most improved coach[apos]s awards at Conwell-Egan Catholic under coach Bill Gould... Also played soccer for the Eagles... Graduated as the valedictorian and received senior department awards in math, science and English.
PERSONAL: Son of Bob and Sue Malone... Has an older brother, Rob, and a younger sister, Kaity... Board member and student-radio disc jockey... Member of the Loyola honors program student council... English major.
