2024: Received the cross country program’s Most Dedicated Athlete award at the Iggy’s… Got her career off to a great start, but an injury curtailed her latter half of the cross country campaign and entire indoor track season… The Greyhounds’ No. 2 finisher in the opening meet, recording a mark of 18:43.3 and placing 17th at the Lafayette Invitational… Also the second-fastest freshman in that season debut… Led the squad across the line the following week at the Harry Groves Spiked Shoe Invitational, finishing the 6k in a season-best time of 22:44.6… Finished 59th (third overall for Loyola) at the Paul Short Invitational, aiding the Greyhounds in their ninth-place (of 35 teams) finish… Did lineup at Patriot League Championships, but unable to compete at NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships.
Before Loyola: Graduated from Babylon Junior-Senior High School where she earned letters in cross country and winter and spring track... Ran 2:26.77 in the 800, 4:46.52 in the 1,500, 10:31.12 in the 3k and 19:21 in the 5k... Helped her team win the Class C County titles from 2021-23... Named All-State in 2022 and 2023 in cross country... Four-time All-County and All-Division performer.
Personal: Daughter of Karen and James Hayes... Has one sister, Cassidy... Member of several honor societies, including the National Honor Society and those for English, Spanish, science and social studies... AP Scholar... Seal of Civic Readiness... Principal's Award...
