Sydney Hines joined the Loyola men's basketball staff as director of operations during the Summer of 2022.
A native of the Baltimore area, Hines recently served as a graduate assistant coach for the last two seasons at nearby Goucher College where she also earned her Master of Education.
Hines was a standout high school player in Baltimore County at New Town High School where she was a Baltimore Sun All-Metro Second Team and All-County First Team honoree. She left the Owings Mills school as the program's all-time leading scorer (1,835 points) and played collegiately at Central Connecticut State University.
She was a four-year member of the Blue Devils program, finishing her career with 439 points, 116 rebounds, 84 assists and 41 steals in 97 career games. Hines had 12 double-digit scoring performances, highlighted by a 19-point high as a junior against Fairleigh Dickinson.
In addition to her coaching at Goucher, Hines worked for Hoop Group basketball organization in New Jersey and as a children's fitness instructor.
She graduated from Central Connecticut State with a bachelor of science in exercise science.
