2021 (Senior): Made 16 appearances for the Greyhounds, earning starts in 12 of those contests … played every minute in seven of Loyola’s last eight games, logging 1,192 minutes overall … played all 200 minutes during Patriot League tournament games against Army West Point (11/9) and American (11/13) to help the Greyhounds clinch their first NCAA appearance since 2009 … contributed to a defensive unit which led the Patriot League in shutout percentage (.550, fifth in Division I) and team goals-against average (0.96, 33rd in DI) … helped the Greyhounds post 11 shutouts and hold opponents to one goal or fewer in 15 of 20 contests.

Spring 2021 (Junior): Earned starts in all five games played on the year, logging a total of 488 minutes … key contributor to a backline which surrendered just five goals during the regular season, playing every minute in his five appearances … added two shots on the offensive side of the field.

2019 (Sophomore): Earned starts in 16 of 18 appearances on the year … made collegiate debut at NC State (8/30) and debuted in the starting XI three matches later at James Madison (9/8) … picked up first assist in 4-2 win over Lafayette (10/5) and added a second helper in 8-1 home victory over Holy Cross (10/26) … aided a defense which posted six shutouts, allowed one goal or fewer in each of the season’s final eight games, and gave up only 24 shots on goal in 10 games against Patriot League opponents.

Before Loyola: Played 16 games with Iceland’s National Youth Team … won the B-League with the U19 Team in 2018 … earned a third-place finish with the U15 Iceland National Team in the Youth Olympics … finished third in the Nordic Tournament with Iceland’s U16 National Team … also played for FC Haukar, appearing in 16 games with the first team and winning the second division with Haukar’s U19 team … standout performer in handball, winning a national championship with the senior team in 2016 … was a national and League 1 champion with the U19 handball team in 2017, and was a League 1 champion with the U17 team in 2014 and 2015.

Personal: Is the son of Inga V. Kristinsdóttir and Pétur V. Guðnason … has two siblings, Vilborg and Gunnhildur … father was captain of the handball team at Haukar … graduated with the 15th highest cumulative GPA at The Commercial College of Iceland.
