Annalese Lamke, who served as Loyola University Maryland's director of women's basketball operations from 2021-23, was promoted to assistant coach for the 2023-24 season.
Lamke enters her second season as assistant coach in 2024-25. She oversaw the "post" group in her first season, which included Patriot League First Team honoree Lex Therien, who posted career numbers on the year. The Greyhounds also saw increases in wins and Patriot League wins on the season.
"Watching Annalese develop as a young professional gives me great joy," said Head Coach Danielle O'Banion. "She is a servant leader and a great teammate; she earned the opportunity to transition her role and will continue to help elevate our program."
Over her first two years as a member of the Loyola staff, Lamke coordinated logistics for the women's basketball including travel, practice operations and equipment.
Prior to joining Loyola's women's basketball program, Lamke spent the previous two seasons as a graduate assistant at Bethel University where helped the Royals finish a program-best 26-2 during the 2019-20 season, winning an MIAC title to clinch an automatic spot in the NCAA Division III tournament.
She was heavily involved in scouting and video coordination at Bethel, and she was the position coach for WBCA All-American and West Region Player of the Year Taite Anderson. She also assisted with a variety of administrative tasks, including creating and managing the team's social media accounts.
As an undergrad, Lamke played at Minnesota for O'Banion where the latter was an assistant coach. During Lamke's career, she was a three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection who was honored as a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar in 2019. She appeared in 88 games overall for the Golden Gophers, averaging 7.7 points and 5.0 rebounds per game while serving as a team captain during her senior season.
