2019 (Junior): Played in 23 matches and 73 sets for the Greyhounds… Posted 328 assists, an average of 4.49 per set, and 112 digs (1.53)… Had a double-double with 34 assists and 13 digs in the season-opening win over Furman… Posted 23 assists against Coastal Carolina and had the same tally against Loyola Chicago… Helped Loyola to a five-set win over Bucknell with 21 assists… Totaled 27 assists at American in five sets… Had a double-double with 25 assists and 10 digs against Holy Cross and then posted another in the home match versus American with 27 and 12… Spread out 29 assists at Navy. Named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

2018 (Sophomore): Made 20 appearances on the year, ranking second on the team in assists (319) while also contributing 119 digs… Recorded 26 assists and seven digs in Loyola’s season-opening victory over Siena (8/24)… Set season-highs in assists (29) and digs (11) in a five-set contest against Robert Morris (9/7)… That was the first of three double-doubles on the year… totaled 19 assists and 10 digs at UMBC (9/8), and supplied 20 assists and 10 digs at Army West Point (11/3).

2017 (Freshman): Played in nine matches, starting one for the Greyhounds… Saw action as both a defensive specialist and a setter… Made her collegiate debut against Bucknell (10/8, registering six digs… Had five assists and four digs versus Holy Cross (10/13)… Had two assists and a season-high nine digs against Navy (10/21)… Logged eight digs against Colgate (10/29)… Named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

Before Loyola: Earned four varsity letters in volleyball at Villa Maria Academy in Malvern, Pennsylvania… Helped the Hurricanes win four-straight Catholic Academy League titles… As a junior in 2015, she directed Villa Maria to the District 1 title and a berth in the state semifinals… Earned All-District honors as a setter in 2015… Recipient of the team’s on-court leadership award in 2015 and the off-court leadership award in 2016… Played club volleyball for East Coast Power… Also competed in track and field.

Personal: Alaina Kristine Acchione… Daughter of Kris and Buddy Acchione… Has one younger sister, Liz… Earned distinguished honors from 2014-16 and first honors in 2017… Member of the National Honor Society and the Latin Honors Society… Father played volleyball at Villanova.
