"We had a great meet today after a very long bus trip to Providence," says Head Coach Brian Loeffler. "I was pleased to see how the team responded after a long travel day."

The men earned four 1-2-3 finishes with big wins in the 800-meter Freestyle, 200-meter freestyle, 100-meter freestyle and 100-meter butterfly events. Zachary Oster led the charge in the 800 Free with a win in 9:03.57. He was followed by Ian Perazelli (9:17.41) and Greg Thomasson (9:23.86).

The women also won the 200 Medley Relay to get the meet off to a good start. Junior Tori Kamauff, Kim Krzaczek, Caitlin Cassidy and Megan Royer teamed up to win the relay in 2:04.87.

Kamauff also won the 200 IM in 2:31.21, while Cassidy won the 50 Free in 27.84. Sophomore Melissa White won the 100 Fly in 1:08.64, junior Sarah Birkenmeier won the 100 Free in 1:03.62, and Meaghan McCotter won the 400 Free in 4:43.31 to wrap up Loyola's winners in the pool.

"I awarded Zach Oster and Ginna Sabens our H2ounds of the meet," added Loeffler. "Zach won the 1000 Free and 100 Breast events he does not usually swim. Ginna won the 100 Breast and had a great 100 Back, scoring second place."
